Post by james+burgundy » Tue Mar 03, 2009 1:05 pm

This is the New large space ship contest. The last one i made was a good contest if not a bit short. And by the 15 + pages it was a hit so here we are the second one.

Rules

1. You ship must be made bye you not some one else
2. You ship must be able to support life.
3. You ship must be at lest 30 studs long.
4. No fudging
5. There is no limit on the amount of ships you can make
6. You have until june 2 to enter you ship

At the end of the voting there will be a build of between the top three if all of the top three consent to doing it

Weird, I was just thinking of finally starting my new SHIP.

BTW, how will this be bigger? In the last contest the ship had to be at least 50 studs.

I think he means the contest is bigger, as in more people are going to join.
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

does it have to be capitol ships? I have a stealth frigate which is pretty much done right now but the battlecruiser I'm planning will take a whole lot longer

I think by "must be able to support life" he means actually fit life in it.

And it also needs to be 30 studs long.

yes, true. but he could have meant that the ship had to be manned, versus a drone or something.

and my bigass ship is over 80 studs long.

damnit, now I most likely can't enter.
Act first, then think, then try to find a way to cover up the horrible mess you made.

30 studs doesn't make a capital ship. No one on here has enough pieces to build a capital ship. Just call it like the heavy starfighter contest or something.

Yeah, how about a support ship contest? You can make smaller ships that support larger fleets, like a missile frigate, a fueler, a hospital ship, a troop ship, or a anti-fighter ship full of guns! It'll give the competition a bit of a variety of ship's they can build. Without the Seriously Heavy Investment in Parts.

But personally, I'm gonna use this as motivation to start on my SHIP.

I have a large troop transport that I could probably enter in this contest, I'll have to see though.
