The Armored Transport and Support Frigate is a powerful ship. The Archangel is meant to fly in, clear an area, deploy up to 8 troops, and then support the ground assault. This ship comes heavily armored and has more than a few tricks up it's sleeve for overpowering assailants.
It's armaments include:
-Twin 30mm "Avenger" type cannons mounted under the cockpit
-8 rocket pods
-Two radar-guided missiles for precision strikes
-Two all aspect gauss rifles mounted on the sides just behind the cockpit
-An automated 360 degree Turbolaser turret mounted on the roof
-Lots of flares
The Archangel can easily be converted mid-battle to an emergency medical transport for up to 3 injured soldiers and 2 medics at a time. It has earned the nickname "Guardian Angel" for it's ability to quickly neutralize attackers and rescue injured soldiers during a battle.

Almighty Benny, you wouldn't hold it against me if I killed you, took your lego army, and called them all mine would you? I would be so happy ^_^

I'll be waiting...

Well there are the missile mounts on the sides, but no hard points under the wings as of yet. If I use this thing in a BrikWar I will definitely consider mounting some multiple AG missiles under there, though.

i love how the front slopes downward and seems to be hinged on the guns.

This ship looks awesome, and carries more troops than anything in my fleet. Amazing work.

thanks guys
it's not really noticeable from these pics, but there are two modules that slide into the back of the ship on different levels. One of the modules has seating for troops and their weapons, while the other holds two stretchers. The latter is raised so that a third stretcher can fit in the depression under the floor. Actually, that depression can hold lots of supplies even when the trooper module is in.
This was a nice distraction from finishing my newest battlefield, but I think I'll get back to work on that today, and then maybe design a vehicle module.

I never do understand the avatars you have on. Always something about them that rubs me wrong, I'unno.
Anyways, Benny, I do have a question: How did you get the front to slope like that? I've been planning on scrapping my Hornet bomber in favor of a Super Bomber, but I haven't really decided on a design yet. I still want it to have the rear anti-air turret, but quite hart to get it looking good none the less. Any tips on a rough design, plus the front slanted cock pit without sacraficing structual integrity?
By the way, Good news! I decided not to kill you!
