Are thou dost saying that the African minfig was an ancestor of the yellow while the good peach minifigs are the most developed?

While I would love not to post in your thread james+burgandy, I feel it my duty to correct you on this topic.

The minifigures evolution began in 1974 with the invention of the basic minifig torso. The torso did not have movable arms or legs and instead was very basic in nature.

These minfigs, while popular, where highly outclassed by the development of the modern minifigure in 1977.

In 2003, the Basketball theme brought forward the black and old-peach minifigs. These also were soon superseded by the peach minifigs of 2005. Harry Potter and Star Wars were the first themes to be brought to this glorious new level of realism, though town has slowly begun to transition.

Please keep the evolution of the minifig historically accurate...or else!

yeah, i think that the correct order is yellow, brown, THEN peach. then again, i'd start with a yellow brick right at the beginning (and if anyone remembers how humans were represented in lego form in the earlier sets, please be so kind as to show a picture).

Something like this. My grandparents have a few of them in the two buckets they have. No bending arms, no bending legs. There were also larger figures but those wouldn't be mini-figs.

I remember those ones, also, we mustn't be forgetting the Minifigs boneriffic half-cousin, the Technic man! (I haven't the foggiest what their real name is)

True true, it would be wrong to leave out the boneriffic because they are simply boneriffic.

Well, at least I think so...

Make them combat armor, and turn them lose.
