Iv'e built a fort using a large baseplate (47X47?) it fills up all of the plate.
but now i have a problem in which I don't know what I should put in the inside!

i would make it into five seperate rooms, four rectangular ones around a square one at the center. now there should only be 1 entrance, and each room should only lead to the next room, and so on, so to get to the center you must go through all four other rooms. the first room can be filled with bunkers and such, the second and third as living quarters for the men, and the fourth as an armory. then the center can be the command post of the fort.

LEGION- fear it

one other idea for a ship hull is to have a long hallway with doors on either side leading to armoury weapons control etc.
on the front is living quarters and the rear is command followed by engine
Living
Armoury-----Storage
Weapons-----Magazine
Command
Engines

admittedley I now have to find a way to get people onto the front of the ship, and work out where I'm going to put the engines. mI decided it will be a Dropship, so that living qaurters will not be a problem.
currently it has 4 sections,
EMPTY BIT AT FRONT (cannot attach walls, will probably put some heavy weapon there
COMMAND CENTRE (two control panels and a valve)
ARMOURY (also where the crew waiit for the ship to land, (appropriate handrails included)
THE EMPTY BIT AT THE BACK, may contain a small vehicle.

If it's a dropship full of troops, boarding attacks are not going to be a big problem. Therefore the only thing you need to worry about when designing the interior is making sure that it fits enough troops inside.
Also, put the engines outboard of the hull, that way they won't take up valuable troop space.

LEGO baseplates have 48x48.
