I bought it. not a very useful set, I only picked it up for the windscreen and white parts.

As a set I think it looks cool. Very reminiscent of the old Space Days. I would be more keen to find out if this set was sturdy and robust (just like most of the Mission to Mars sets were) or is it like the Star Wars sets and fallapartable and crapulent. If it were me I would buy this set.

the roof falls off all the time, other than that its pretty sturdy.

Home One just went down 30% at Toys R' Us. I'm contemplating buying that.
The $100 are usually cool, but mostly if you want a bunch of pieces. If you want white and some black and some trans-blue, go for it. Otherwise, I wouldn't.

just use briklink and you can get one for... a fairly steep $9-$15

Home One is now around $70 or $80 now. A good price when you consider what it used to be for the same set.
