That red border was made slightly transparent for some reason, so you can see the photo extending under it.
But it does look like there is some artifacting due to the shrinking done on this forum or the final image served from imgur.

Online photo hosting services are notorious for bad artifacts in areas of solid red. They must all use the same compression software.
