When you started this, you were ripping off Blockland.

Re: Bushes
I have several different posts here going back to 2008.
I've just been adding to one on Sijun - http://forums.sijun.com/viewtopic.php?t=41901
Blockland ripped off Lego, Roblox ripped off Blockland.
Krap, maybe I did rip off Roblox.
Lego>Blockland>Roblox>Brikverse
There may be another brick game out there.
Minecraft ripped off Infiniminer.
Minecraft started in 2009.
More intense AO, Depth of Field added
His position keeps moving oddly because he is living his life in random order.

Tzan, I don't care how long it takes you. I will pay for this when you are done.

Re: Bushes
I think I mentioned this before.
I can easily give this away for free to the 30 people who post here, it wont make any real difference.
A more game playing angle.

I have about 5 different designs for this terrain system.
Eventually I may run a poll once I set up a website/forum.
In one version you start out as just one medieval peasant guy and build up a faction that takes over some land.
Then countries, then continents, then the planet, solar system, galaxy, universe.
At the higher levels of scale its more of a wargame like civ. Except you can still zoom down and play man to alien 1 meter/space.
You could blow up a research center with artillery to disable it for the enemy, or go man to man scale and walk in and steal some research, Xcom style with your personal squad.

Re: Bushes
How easy is it to run at the moment? What kind of specs (general, not asking for what model graphics card I need) do you imagine are needed to play this?

Re: Bushes
My machine is from Dec 2009.
Win7 intel i7
Radeon 5870 also from 2009, although it was a $400 card at the time so it still runs AAA games today at high.
It runs just fine.
Of course there is no animation, particle effects etc.
You could look at the Unity specs
http://unity3d.com/unity/system-requirements
Except you'll want shader model 3.0 and DX11.
Probably any desktop computer with a graphics card (not on motherboard) since 2010 will work.
I wouldnt spend anything less than $200 on a card.
don't go doing anything permanent based on what I am doing.

Re: Bushes
Can confirm it runs pretty good on my Alienware (so you know it can run on pretty much anything).

Re: Bushes
isn't Alienware usually high end?
I suppose it depends on what you get.
Can you spot Solid Snake?

This picture shows how I've integrated the new GUI stuff, hooked it up to the game states and all those buttons work now.
Except the ones that are grayed out of course.
Message bar at the bottom of screen.
I'll probably make a console style panel later.
