I've complained in the past about blue not rendering well on computers, and that's what's happening here. IRL the sky contrasts with the hair a bit more. There is also a texture to the background glass. Rei and her plugsuit and her hair are all super smooth, but the sky is rippled and wavy, and the mountains and green have texture as well. I was very worried about what you've described but take it from me that in person there is a bigger difference than can be seen here.

IMO the biggest problem is the grout isn't quite dark enough. I wish it was closer to black.

I can see that the blue sky tone is between the light and dark blue of the hair.
But thats the reason I think it doesn't contrast enough.

If you like it this way, thats cool, please don't mind me :D

Maybe look into adding a coloring to the grout.
Black acrylic paint? Art supply places sometimes have a powdered pigments.

When I fill holes in woodworking, I use small chips of semiprecious stones. Perhaps onyx would work?

The sky has purple and teal hues mixed in that can't be seen on a computer screen.

This piece looks great.
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

I agree with the previous statements, this one is definitely your best so far. Anime-inspired art doesn't typically do anything for me, but something about the style you're using really makes it pop.

I'm not sold on the background, but if you say it looks better IRL then I don't see a problem.

Rei may be worst girl, but you've done a solid job.

The newest one looks really well done.

I do agree with Tzan though. My first thought for a background was a night setting. It looks good this way too though.

The abstract one is nice and simple, which just works for a mosaic. I like it a lot.

Don't watch EoE unless you want MEGA BRAIN FUCKERY, and you can find all three rebuild films online for free.

Thanks Ken and Zebra.

I'm not done with her yet. I'm going to install an aluminum frame around the edge. Speaking of frames:

This one is about 10" wide including the frame.
