Printer Problems
Printer Problems
I'm trying to print out a decal for one of my minifigs. However, when I try to print it, it won't print it out at the size it's supposed to be. (The right size for a torso decal) It keeps printing it out full page.
What's wrong?

Time travel's been getting me down.
Resize it to what, exactly? As in, number of inches?ace121 wrote:Have you resized the image?
I'm not sure why that would effect the printer. It'd still come out full sized.
Here's a shot of my printer screen:

Yeah, that's your problem then.
1. Save picture. Duh
2. Open MS Word or any program that allows you to view saved images.
3. Insert/Open saved image.
4. In MS word at least, there is a ruler on the top and side of the screen; use this to drag the points until the image has the same dimensions as a minifig.
5. Print.
6. Eat a cookie.

I have Paint and Photoshop, that's about it.
And again, what are the torso dimensions for a minifig?

And if you're feeling lazy, skip steps 1-5 and just eat a cookie.

*Ignores adean, tries to be useful somehere*
A torso is roughly 6/8 of an inch wide and 9/16 of an inch tall. Get that and it should be accurate enough; go eat the cookie.Thyclaine wrote:Useless, because I don't have MS Word.ace121 wrote:Yeah, that's your problem then.

Just call tech support or something...Thyclaine wrote:...pesgores wrote:You must get MS PowerPoint. It's the only way.
How will that help with my printing problem?
After adeans post, I went downstairs, got an OATMEAL RAISIN cookie, and I'm eating right now. Win.
I think those stats only apply to non-Mexicans.

Sorry then... I fixed one problem; someone else might be able to solve the rest... Have you tinkered with the settings of the printer? If not, try that; if so, call tech support.Thyclaine wrote:Okay, it's sized correctly now.
But it's still printing it out full size.
Hold a minifig up to the screen, it's resized. But my printer continues to print it out with it stretched across the paper.
