Some Paladins of the Space Variation.

Well, you could have easily placed your concerns on the proper threads at the time and that may have had some influence. These guys were created when I was a kid and their story has grown over the years. The story shouldn't be immediately apparent since they are an invading Race to the Brikverse. Yup, they are powerful, but there are only a relative few actual Immortals. They are the bogeyman, and is always the way in films when you see the bogeyman totally revealed it looses that sinister element. Besides, there's just too much to tell and if you wanted to know more all you had to do was ask. But I've sensed you weren't into it or a bit annoyed at me for influencing things the way I do or whatever so now they are here and you'll just have to deal with it, wither you feel it's your problem or not. Which is a pity since I kind of respect your work.

Err Warhead, I'm not like trying to say you suck or something. I'm just not a fan of the Immortals. That's my problem, not yours or anyone else's. You have no obligation to make something that I like or approve of or whatever. >_> I'm really trying to not come off as antagonistic here because I am honestly not trying to be antagonistic.

Ooh-Kay! Back on OP topic. I think the Star Wars Clone figures lend themselves to being used as space Knights. I think if they're going to be Paladin or something special then some snazzing up would do the trick of making them less hum-drum as nature intended, them being from an army of clones after all. Could you manage to make some sort of leg or chest tabard or something crusader like?

Whao, Alright so many good tips right off the bat. Thanks Fredde, Bragallot, Warhead and Natalya. I have already began reworking the two blue commandos by just switching their limb colors to that navy blue and they are already looking better, once I purchase the sets I was going to start troop building for this new faction I'll keep all the tips you gave me in mind, Natalya.
Just a note on why my pictures are so bad, haha. It's the camera ontop my computer screen. I have yet to acquire use of a free hand held camera, but before taking my next photos I'll be sure to do so.
As to Warhead's suggestion for my Paladins, I was thinking of adding a banner with the Templar cross or painting the rebel helmets to have the same cross going down it. And if not that I could add the chest Tabard as you mentioned.

What, of course we knew that. Knowing how to wreck Sailor Moon's shit is an important life skill, and there are only so many role models. Ever since you picked that icon I imagine the Queen Galaxia music playing behind whatever you post.Natalya wrote:No one here knows that's Golden Queen Galaxia sitting on her throne being a total bitch about to wreck Sailor Moon's shit
As usual, I like most of the stuff Natalya hates, although I understand her perspective. I think the Exalted Hand is a cool unit regardless of being Bionicle, and I'd be happy to see it kicking the ass of SnakeMittens' darkfantasy whatever-that-was. (Side note: I've never posted photos, but I have some similar units where I just rip the heads off of Gundam toys and stick minifig heads in their place; Natalya would rage.) The paladin minifigs are a little uninspiring so far but they're going in a good direction. I think the trick with them isn't going to be changing the minifig design, but in backing them up with the right kinds of vehicles and equipment to show that their stark black-on-white look is part of a larger consistent design style for the faction.
I like the Immortals for what they are: a grown man's uncensored recollections of his own epic awesomeness and unapologetic retardedness as a kid. I think you're still five or ten years away from being able look back on being a complete pubescent dumbass with the kind of nostalgia that us old guys do.

I think there is one thing we can all agree on here:
You want to know why the Natalya and RoC are two of the best respected builders here? It's because their armies have fucking tanks. As in plural. No matter how boring their regular troopers may look, no one can question their lameness because they have a line of big fucking tanks backing them up.
...Not to say that you have to make tanks, but if you want to make a cool army, you need some sort of vehicle. It can be a truck, a little rover thing, or fighters, but you need somesort of awesome toy for your army.
In your case, I would suggest some sort of robo-horse/flying machine for your men to use. Just as long as there is something there to show that these guys mean business.
Plus, vehicles add SO much to the playability of a faction. One of the first teams I made was an elite commando unit that deployed air ops from their helicopter. The helicopter itself was shit; but it made the team 50x cooler just by being there. Throughout my years as a builder, I've kept that team alive, and expanded them into a full fledged faction, the UNDF. Even though the faction was bigger, I kept it to its roots, and built stealth jets and dropships for them to deploy from.
...Like I said earlier, these guys are a fine start. I would totally love to see these guys in a battle report someday. That said, they can be a lot better. You've already got the numbers, now you just need to work on making them look cool. Give them different colored arms, make a bunch of awesome weapons, build some sort of vehicles for them, and come up with a badass name and backstory for them.
Well? What are you waiting around here for? Get to it soldier!
I cannot emphasize this point enough. Vehicles. Sell.I think the trick with them isn't going to be changing the minifig design, but in backing them up with the right kinds of vehicles and equipment to show that their stark black-on-white look is part of a larger consistent design style for the faction.

The way I see the forums assorted armies are as such:
Assyrians: Orange dudes with white helmets, they have laz0rs, a sweet ass Armored Core, a really impressive minifig scale spaceship, and a cool tank.
45th Union: The "representing faction" of the various peaches of the world. How you managed to get all those German Peach torsos, I'll never know. Their armor is cool-looking, if grey and bland, and I don't think they have an air/starforce
Shadowscythe 's stuff: Cool army bro, if only it was actually built.
AN: Sweeeeeet constructions and robots, but I don't see em in battles much.
Vol: Awesome space-vikings with OTC's and coke-can supported dropships.
FELC: Shattered remains of an empire. I'm sure they'll be totally awesome in Fico.
Brikia: Army-in progress, I'm pretty much in the same boat as Shadowsythe, but it's a modern army and not a spacey one. I'm sure you guys will be alot more interested in them after some shit im planning, but god that won't happen for a while.
Whatever the fuck runswithlegoes has: I want to like it but his awful spelling and grammar make it impossible to read his shit.
Immortals: Some sort of long-lost horror that only now has unleashed itself upon the galaxy. Don't like some of the drawn decals, but meh, that's just me. Cool vehicles, rocking the 1980s lego style of death-boxes.
Space Jews: Lol jews in space.
U.S.A.: Nice vehicles, nice political humor.
Space Ninjas, Pirates, Vikings, DSM, Blokbots, Iceworlders etc: These are cool because they belong to everyone.
