I wasn't too enthusiastic about the forward hull of the ship either. I guess I was trying to keep that ridged'n'chunky look that I had given the other ships, but it only worked so well. Might redesign it a bit; if I do, I'll definitely post another update.Theblackdog wrote:Even more awesome. The level of detail around the bridge and the asymmetrical bits on the stern is amazing.
Thanks, man. Cheers.Warbread wrote:Most excellent fleet, those ships are sheer genius!
cheers Salute! With a drop of the black stuff.

No, I don't. I was just telling ShadowScythe about this. The only guns that are that big are the ones that take up the whole ships (i.e. the "Manticores" in the OP).BFenix wrote:Agreed. I understand you go for more realistic guns here Oloth, but a bit of huge dakka would spice things up a little don't you think??Theblackdog wrote:There's nothing wrong with the bow of the ship, but IMO the stern detail is the best part. You might add some more visible guns though.
Now that being said, the bow of the ship... might... do better as a massive rail cannon.
We'll see.

I sat down and took fifteen minutes and a handful of black parts lying around... did my best to redo the shape of the ship, while keeping the sleek, menacing profile, and also the chunky aesthetic of the remainder of the HURT fleet.
Overall shots.

Some frontal shots.

And a detail shot of the new and improved bridge.

Sorry for the shitty picture quality. It was stormy outside, so I didn't have the benefit of wonderful natural sunlight. I was forced to use flash. ::collective gasps:: Horrible, I know.

I feel like it's a little cluttered, but I'm glad you like it. It turned out well enough (although it's not at all structurally sound.Theblackdog wrote:Yes.
I like the way you added the spinal gun, it ties back into the style of the smaller ion-cannon ships. And the transition from the angled bricks in the front to the SOT bricks in the rear is perfect.
