That's a pretty awesome sniper rifle, dude. Really adds something the Brikwars sniper rifles have been missing.
I don't know how much of a fan I am of the m16s, though. They kinda border on the "too much detail" side of aftermarket LEGO stuff. Not quite there yet, but it's a slippery slope.

I've been waiting for the M110. The M16s are okay, but I prefer the ARC and M4s.

Alright, important question here Enigma:
Are the Rifle Stocks molded that a Minifig can hold them convincingly?
I can't tell you how much it pisses me off that Lego shotguns and "blaster rifles" aren't made to fit properly in a Minifig's hands.

It looks like it's about the same thickness as a Brickarms Barret's stock, which can indeed be held.
I'm uh... I think I'm gonna place an order immediately. What's the word on the flamethrower M16's? Any chance of those coming out anytime soon?

I think these look great. The built in M203 looks way better than clipping one on.

Glad you like it! It's one of my favorites as well.Keldoclock wrote:That's a pretty awesome sniper rifle, dude. Really adds something the Brikwars sniper rifles have been missing.
The balance between abstraction, detail, and playability is something Will grapples with on each design. Ultimately, while there's been a slight increase in the detail of BrickArms accessories over the years as Will's design details have deepened and he's found toolers that can perfectly capture those designs, Will still loves the minifig accessory aesthetic, and over-detailing is something he specifically tries to avoid.Keldoclock wrote:border on the "too much detail" side of aftermarket LEGO stuff. Of course!Whiteagle wrote:Are the Rifle Stocks molded that a Minifig can hold them convincingly?
The stocks of all the above items fit right to the minifig shoulder.
"Anytime soon" isn't something I can really answer, although I can say the M16A1 Flamethrower isn't part of this release as it didn't receive as much strongly positive feedback from the community as compared to the other M16 variants. Still, there's always a chance that design will see mass production or perhaps be available in some other way.IVhorseman wrote:What's the word on the flamethrower M16's? Here's the item in question, in case anyone isn't familiar with it:
If that's an item anyone else in the Brikwars community would like to see, feel free to post here to let Will know!

The charging handle on those M16A1s... <3 Time to grab about a dozen of those lovely rifles.

Oh no, I wasn't asking for a date, just to see if there's any chance of more of 'em rolling off the presses. My favorite weapon in Black Ops was an Commando with an underslung flamethrower, so I'm a bit partial to the design <_<

I don't really understand the whole underbarrel flamethrower thing myself, honestly. Is it a thing outside of Call of Duty?
Wouldn't you run out of fuel in like, a second?

You do, but you have little canisters of fuel that you'd pop into place after firing. Turns out that a few of these actually exist IRL, but it's mostly just awesome.

The vietnam M16 should be "slick slide", the forward assist wasn't added until later. They are cool looking though.

Ah, I understand! Still, all I can say is that it's a definite maybe. The M16 Flamethrower didn't make the cut this time around, but it's impossible to if Will definitely will or will not decide there's a spot for it in the future. Posting you like the accessory definitely lets Will know it's something you'd like to see, and I'll be sure to pass it onto him!IVhorseman wrote:Oh no, I wasn't asking for a date, just to see if there's any chance of more of 'em rolling off the presses. all of these are on my "do want" want list, but i too was hoping for the flamethrower attachment.
Re: BrickArms 2012: M16 Variants and M110 Sniper Rifle
I would definitely buy one of those flamethrower M16's.
