Okay so this Shining mosaic, I feel like it looks cool but isn't actually creative. I mean, I didn't make that movie, I didn't take the picture, I'm just turning it into tiles with help from Photoshop. Have I created something? I had to make choices as to which tile colours to actually use because of computer limitations, but beyond that all I've done is I made a physical representation of something I already saw. Then again isn't everything a repost of a repost of a repost?

Yeah, it is, but we were discussing whether or not it was technically "art" (as ridiculous as debates about that can get). You have to make stuff to get good at making stuff, and hey, there'll be diamonds in that shit if you press it hard enough. I think? Science?
