You can stick them basically anywhere, if it makes sense for your story.

I'll try that, his army has some wizards so it should make sense

NO!Warhead wrote:FEEDBACK: Call it Brikwars 2015 and finish it.
Calling it 2010 edition lets the newcomers know how much we've tested it!
Re: BW 2010 feedback
No can do. If I call it 2015 then everybody will think that I was ripping off the Lego Movie instead of the other way around.Warhead wrote:FEEDBACK: Call it Brikwars 2015 and finish it.

I'm having images of a mysterious biker in a kilt stalking Stubby. Whispering into his ear while he sleeps, "WAKE THE FUCK UP AND FINISH THE RULEBOOK!", at which point Stubby calls the cops and it goes Apocalypse Now from there.Warhead wrote:You can call it what you like young fella' me lad! I suggest your friend harden the fuck up.Battlegrinder wrote:Suggest that give some of his units SN dice. one SN damage die can cancel out a target's armor, and is an effective counter to heavy infantry.Itxi wrote:In our second game of Brikwars my housemate, a friend and I were using the new heavy armour rules.
I fielded the most heavy armour units and came second, so it's not about balance. But my housemate hates the new HA rules and still thinks they're overpowered and that they make the game drag.
He's kind of right about making the game drag, his tank had no weapons left and I still had two troops in heavy armour in the last 3 turns, neither side was really doing any damage until he just tank charged me and I failed to bail far enough.
I admit, a large part of the problem is him, he decided as soon as he heard the rules that he wasn't going to like the armour system (even got his troops to loot the corpses and go heavy themselves to try and show me it was annoying, I just carried on playing) I love having two types of armoured unit because light armour just doesn't do some minifigs justice, but are there any thoughts on alternatives, or perhaps a way I can get my housemate to stop being so stubborn?
In 100% of situations where I've seen someone dislike the armor rules, it's because they decide they hate it before even getting troops on the table. FFS just sick two swordsmen on the armored guy and the +2 from their attacks will match the armor and at least lop a limb off no matter WHAT you roll.

Plastik Armory: a bunch of weapons and abilities compatible with the 2010 rules.

All right. After much thought this past week, I made the decision to become monogamous until the rulebook is finished, to give myself some free time finally. A couple of my girlfriends were (expectedly) pretty displeased at the news, but then a couple others were suprisingly supportive and happy to be on board with this plan, which... well I'm not sure how to take that, really. Anyway, if you guys ever want an adventure, try terminating half a dozen multi-year relationships all at once.Warhead wrote:You can call it what you like young fella' me lad! I forget if I've mentioned this in the thread already, but at some point I added a section at the bottom of 3.3 about strategies for armored opponents.IVhorseman wrote:I suggest your friend harden the fuck up.

Man, you wouldn't want to be if you gave a little more thought to the ramifications of that last sentence there.Whiteagle wrote:...And again, everyone wants to be Mike...stubby wrote:if you guys ever want an adventure, try terminating half a dozen multi-year relationships all at once.
Now that I think about it, I was briefly monogamous during every one of the previous releases, although rarely during the years in between. I never noticed this pattern before, but it may be a big factor in why I haven't finished any releases since 2005.
