Maybe the Quantinuum should be vast Universe for the main parts of Quantum Surfer Society. The Czat should be where fringe losers hang out and play god, and rule over the Brikverse.

Speaking as an older gray-bearded person -- Quantum Surfer Vami has all the features and symbols in place to be the perfect archetype of the narcissist phase that hits in the transition from adolescent narcissism to young adult narcissism. The bottle, the mask, the hill, the funhouse-mirror "Truth" he needs to sustain his powers of bullshit, all perfect, even if they're a little on-the-nose and hamfisted. He may be an even better masked Salieri than Overwatch.

Without receiving empathy or the ability to look up to others, children do not develop empathy for themselves or others. They may grow up being psychologically stuck in the narcissistic phase.

As a result, they feel flawed and unacceptable. They fear rejection and isolation because of their perceived worthlessness. To avoid this pain, they focus on controlling how others view them by embellishing their accomplishments and skills.

They feel deep shame, which causes them to develop an artificial self. While we all develop an artificial self to some degree, narcissists IDENTIFY with their artificial self. Preoccupied with presenting the right image, they are ironically rarely aware of their own low self-esteem.

People with adequate self-esteem are usually willing to look at themselves with honest self-reflection and consider areas in which they could improve. This makes sense because they have empathy for the flaws and inadequacies in both themselves and others.

Sadly, the narcissist believes that flaws are to be hated and concealed, and that only perfection and superiority can be displayed. Thus, they view themselves and others with a perspective that swings from over-valuation to loathing. In their quest for approval and acceptance, they use their charm and charisma. Once dependent on others’ approval, the smallest hint of disapproval can send them into a state of punishing vengeance.

Post-script 7: How do Quantum Surfers interact with the main Kanon, or is there even an answer to that question? Possible answers include:

• 6. As the avatars of Humans, they are effective Gods (or at least the demiurges) of the BrikVerse, and somehow really are extremely important to it, despite rarely figuring into the Kanon in any prominent way (my least favorite choice, honestly)
  
  7. Like WH40K's creatures of the Warp, they are manifestations of the psychik energies of minifigs across the BrikVerse, and only believe in their own goddishness and/or importance when the minifigs' beliefs drive them to (I prefer this one)
  
  8. They are the result of some kind of wizard drug trip (most likely choice)

The Beige Carpet is an alternate dimension just like the Negaverse, the Quantum Surfers are BrikWars' version of the Seelie Court, and these are just its standard inhabitants who got delusions of grandeur as soon as BrikVerse wizards learned how to tap into their dimension for mystikal energy. I also like this one because it invites the existence of Beige Carpet Unseelies for the QSes to battle with, and that's why they're usually too preoccupied to interfere in BrikWars Kanon.

Whoa, I just stumbled on this post again. Some sound ideas here for QSVami's character.
After about a year of mulling it over, I decided maybe the best QSVami is a completely mentally cracked / unstable loose cannon who is completely awkward with his abilities.

6. As far as I / we know / are concerned, a "QS Continuum" would pretty much be a History of the Brikverse. My personal theory is that the Quantumsurfers were created by 2x2 to fill the Brikverse with chaos and mayhem.

7. Tough question (this means imaging me speaking like Parthurnaax btw). Quantumsurfers are thought (at least, by me) to exist in and at the same time above standard Kanon. The QSs exert considerable control over the mainstream kanon, if you will, but normally don't do this for reasons like squabbling amongst themselves or maybe even simple laziness (like me). I am entirely unsure of where the QSs dwell, but I believe the most likely answer is that these godlings simply dwell in any and every dimension imaginable. the most popular dimensions appear to be the Brikverse itself (aka the Far-Ums), the Biege Carpet(s), and the Czat (aka the Four Rums).
