If you're the only person who asked, you pretty much have dibs on the faction.

Re: Operation: Landgrab - Sign Up!
The results are in, here's who is in charge of each faction.
1st Mobile Support Unit - Vami IV
7th platoon + 105mm Field Gun - M220
Home Guard - Silverdream
45th Union - Scratch
Secret Faction - Sir Sporktimus
To those of you who didn't make it, I did use a number generator online for who was to control the homeguard and 1st mobile support unit (and whatever factions had more than one person vying for). The numbers that came up were their numbers. However, next time I will make it a first come-first served basis.
Send in your orders for turn one!
*Edit: The ranges for most of the UK weaponry is on this wiki page: ABS Defence Systems

Re: Operation: Landgrab - Sign Up!
Turn One.
1st Mobile Support Unit - Vami IV:

Using its thruster pack, the EVA unit boosts...

and skids into a partly destroyed building to utilise it as cover.

The ATLAS however decides to get to the combat zone ASAP, wrecking havoc on the already mangled infrastructure.

With the enemy just out of range, the ATLAS holds its position.
7th Platoon + 105mm Field Gun - M220:

The Commando and the ODST move up the alleyway to support their fellow soldiers.

Most of the infantry make headway towards the Home Guard, using the ruined buildings for cover. One of the specialists begins to scale the rubble to get a better field of vision.

The sniper gets to cover, draws a bead on one of the mercenaries and...

Fires! With a total of 5 skill and 13 damage, the 12mm round flies true and collides with the mercenary's skull, killing him instantly.

The artillery corpsman lifts up a 105mm round,

and loads it into the field gun.

With the reprogrammed MCR unit obstructed by debris and buildings, the corpsman fires a round to clear his line of sight.

The round successfully destroys the walls, and just misses the MCR unit by an inch.

Home Guard - Silverdream

Having already lost a man to sniper fire, the mercenaries head to their assigned posts.

The Hellion captain scales the wall and aims at where he predicts the UK Soldiers will emerge from.

His remaining soldier sprints towards a hole in the wall for cover.

One of the Home Guard militants runs to man the machine gun turret (UR4, Range 8", Damage 2d6).

The other militant takes cover behind a metal barrier, and awaits the inevitable.
45th Union - Scratch:

The medik and the Soldier barricade the doorway to prevent the UK from firing on them.

With this done, the Medik takes its post and stands by to aid friendly causalities while the 45th soldier prepares reaction fire.

The MCR unit moves to cover and switches to reaction fire.
Overview

Kills Confirmed, Awards:
M220 - 1 (First Strike!)
Vami IV - 0
Silverdream - 0
Scratch - 0
Sir Sporktimus - 0
And with that, turn one comes to a close. Send orders in for turn two!
A word of advice: Everything in the battlefield can be used, not just the equipment you start out with.

Turn Two
1st Mobile Support Unit (Played by Vami IV)

Bolting from it's cover, the EVA unit boosts across to get a better shot at the peaches...

Only to halt right in front of a missile trap.

Thankfully, the missile was a dud, and merely bounced off the EVA's armour.

The ATLAS gets a bead on the CHUB's head...

But decides to uproot and throw some of the local steel at it instead.

However, an error occurs in determining the distance to target, and the ATLAS overshoots the CHUB.

The beam comes to a rest beside the AA gun, after partly knocking the gate off it's hinges.
45th Union (Played by Scratch)

The CHUB fires a round at the EVA, however it too fails to penetrate it's armour.

The Medik droid successfully sprints 8" towards the AA gun, with plans to hack into its mainframe. The lone soldier activates reaction fire and waits for the inevitable.
7th Platoon + 105mm Field Gun (Played by M220)

Seeing that a mercenary has taken control of the turret, the resident marksman loads a 12.65mm round, aims, and fires.

With a spectacular roll of five skill (+2 extra for both participants being stationary) and 16 damage, his round easily overpowers the four defence the mercenary has.

Not much left of him.

7th Platoon + 105mm Field Gun (Played by M220)

7th platoon moves forward, with two of the soldiers taking advantage of the holes in the wall.

While the leftmost soldier is unable to get an angle on anyone, the sergeant fires upon the armoured mercenary.

This action removes his left arm and leaves him with one hit point remaining.

The specialist heaves himself onto the ruined wall.

Seeing a mercenary sitting below, he fires a rocket.

Unfortunately, the rocket slams into the wall instead, and lacking sufficient damage to do anything, dissipates into smoke.

These two move up.

The artillery corpsman loads another round into the breach.

"Gun ready sir!"
"Wait for my mark corporal."
Home Guard (Played by Silverdream)

This bloke fires on the ATLAS but fails to penetrate it's armour.

Telling himself to get his act together, Jim puts on his 'brave' face and stands up.

Raising his 9mm, he fires and takes down a enemy soldier, the first casualty for the UK.

Because this is a fairly textbook example of Whiteagling someone else's work. (although good on you for spoilering the soldado I guess? but the resemblance would have been better brought up in chat so it looks less attention-stealing)
Again, no offense intended, just a reminder.

Re: Operation: Landgrab - Turn One
I've had this guy built and in my collection for over a year now, and this is the first time I've seen that wiki page. The reason I have him is because I had a spare white balaclava head + storm trooper armour, so I thought I'd make a winter camo commando.Vami IV wrote:POST BEING USED AS WIKI LINK - DO NOT EDIT
