Re: Factions and Lore-IMMORTAL EMPIRE ADDED!
Progression of my own Immortal Forces in Real Time.
White DSM... cause that was the first DSM I ever owned. This regiment was commanded by the yet to be Emperor and then by his step brothers, Lim, Perry, 750cc and Zathros who all later became traitors.
Red DSM... cause Red are better. The White DSM's ended up resenting this inferiority which led them to revolt. The Red DSM are a proven core of loyal troops of the Emperor.
Red/White DSM's... sometimes mixed with blue City Lego parts from other kits. I liked to try out new stuff and dreamed of the day Lego made more DSM colours.
Yellow DSM's cause those fuckers where awesome and had a really cool gun! Became the strong arm of the Emperors Brother Nameless but they would never rival the Red DSM in numbers or equipment.
Yellow and white DSM's... The start of the experimental Mad Animal Sandwich Regiment, an experiment by Nameless to enhance normal DSM with Maniac DNA. Sadly the regiment were slaughtered in a White rebel DSM led ambush... Only one survivor who was Immortalized: Mad Qucumber Sandwich (Yes, you spell it with a Q... they are Maniacs after all)
Blue DSM's... At the time they were few in number and became the Personal Guard of the Emperors Brother: Nameless, head of the Immortal not so secret service.
Black DSM... Coolest of the Cool and destined to become the Elite troops known as Terrorkhan.
Everything else... Many non-DSM troops created due to easy access to Briklink and Brikwars ideas. Anything that looks cool and can be used to make LOTS of troops, goes.
Many Immortals show their lineage origins and loyalties through the colours they display. Red/Black for the Emperors progeny and Yellow/Blue for his Brothers. This trend however has since become meaningless as the blood lines blurs through new Immortals being introduced from outside or by In Breading.

In Breading is like in-breeding except for the Mad Admiral Sandwich family line specifically.Warhead wrote:Many Immortals show their lineage origins and loyalties through the colours they display. Re: Factions and Lore-IMMORTAL EMPIRE ADDED!
hehe... er, obviously. Wallies and to a lesser extent the Maniacs, lesser because they're useful at least, are the results of many unfortunate reproductive gene-baking (seewhatIdidthere). That's another reason they encourage Immortalisation... even if the recipient is violently opposed at first they'll soon come round to joining their new family... after the first few thousand years or so.
The Mad Sandwich experiment was a promising but never repeated research into widening the Immortal Gene Pool. The Emperor put a stop to it and all the research was lost... some even whisper, before being... er... vanished... that it is possible the ambush which wiped out the Mad Sandwich Regiment may have been a set up by the Emperor himself, well, he is a total bastard. Other than Mad Qucumber Sandwich... and his progenitor grandfather (not sure how that works but that's the story, I make no excuses) Mad Animal Sandwich. All mortals that have tried to use MQS or his Granddad MAS to re-open this line of research have all died horribly under not so mysterious and very suddenly violent circumstances.

Re: Factions and Lore-VOL ADDED!
The Vol look badass as hell. I really like your imagining of the Einherjar. They look pretty sweet.
Re: Factions and Lore-VOL ADDED!
VOL looks amazing!
Why you havent used the tradional armor for them as well? (The black armors from the aquanouts theme) I think it would be better to use at least for some warriors in addition to the new design warriors.

All of it is material, but mall-cop and the buggy are particularly nice.
