The Norse (Robot Monkey)




"YOU FIERY BITCH! And your elemental-monster too."







While failing to inspire his men this turn, they string their bows and combine fire on the matriarch.







The damage is enough to overheat the elemental somehow, as it glows brightly and starts to burst apart.







The fire matriarch perishes, taking the last berserker with it.







Frostborne (bann154)




The surviving swordsman plunges his blade into an elf's nether regions.







He then moves up toward the Esduin hero, challenging her with a dynamic pose.







An icebreaker turns a paladin's head into mush.







None of the other warriors gain any more kills, but hold their ground valiantly.





Draklon (RedRover)



Draklon rangers move up to join the Esduin's ranged troops. They aim with practiced and steady hands, and-







-Are you kidding me.







The both critfail their use rolls and drop their bows.







The wardens plow a path up the hill, heedlessly skirting past the Esduin frontlines.







One crushes an icebreaker with his flail.







Lucer sneaks away from his men and up the cliffside.







He shuffles past Frostborne corpses, opens the door to the watchtower and glances around him with shifty eyes.







Then disappears in the tower, though only having enough move to get to the second floor.





Esduin (TheVengefulOne)




A few Esduin archers combine fire on a spearbearer with overwhelming success.







Inquisitors charge up the hill while the last remaining icebreaker does his best to parry their merciless attacks.







A paladin finds a hole in the frontlines and charges forward, he fails to do any damage to the spearbearers though.







They don't appreciate his attempt.







Meanwhile the icebreaker succumbs to his fate.







Jy'udi fails a heroic feat, so instead she looks on to Frostborne's imminent defeat. (she also dispatches the foolish swordsman confronting her, but I was lame and forgot to snap a photo of that. It happened really fast).







Esduin forces move up the hill, unheeded by all but Frostborne's last feeble line of defense. Things aren't looking good.












Esduin and Draklon are victorious! Frostborne has failed to light the beacon tower in time before Esduin breaks through.

Epilogue...





The last line of the Frostbornian defense has been broken. Though they fought valiantly and held their ground long enough to strike down half of Esduin's forces, they simply could not stand up to the rising tides of krimson and gold.








With some help from Kaptain Lucer and his Draklon underlings, the last of Frostborne's troops had been overrun and overthrown.







Only Torsten and a few of his Norse warriors remained. They stared on in disbelief as the elves overtook the hilltop keep.







"You... Cowardly, peachskinned shitstains!" Torsten bellowed from across the corpse-littered battlefield. "Archers! Kill the elf wretch!" The burly minifig had already begun trudging toward Esduin's ranks as he howled to his men.







The bowmen nocked their arrows and aimed at Jy'udi.







The Esduin kaptain peered at them in silence, before uttering one word to her own soldiers. "Archers."







Elvish archers responded in turn, completely outnumbering the remnants of Torsten's company. They released their own volley much quicker than any of the Norse could fathom.







The Norse were met with a quick end, their lives forfeit before their corpses hit the blood-soaked ground.







Not even The Bear could escape a grisly fate. "Brik...halla..."







"Well!" Lucer had since made his way back down to his men. "I'd say that went well. Those barbarians stood no chance against us!"

"Yah boss," said one of the wardens.







More troops bearing the krimson uniforms of Esduin arrived, just one group of of many more to come. "The coastline belongs to Esduin, honorable Judge Jy'udi!" One of the fierce Stormriders boomed from across the way.







"As it should be," Jy'udi affirmed. "Let us gather the rest of Her Majesty's noble executioners and together we will purge this barbarian filth from the land of Northeros!"







The ranks of Esduin cheered as one entity, their unified voices chilling in the early Winter's air.
