Troops in the bar emerge from the front door



They drag downed comrades into the bar to set up a field hospital



Others in the side street, do what they can to do the same, tossing them through the window and dragging them into alleyways



The officer calls on the mediks, calling one to come across and the other to head towards the VK positions.



The sniper fires at the GR sniper, again.



He dies. this time



The second squad rushes to reinforce allied positions. Once they reach them, a few Confederate soldiers see GR infantry exposed, and fire



A Heavy Gunner, and NCO are downed.



Inside the Bar / Field hospital, ZC forces prepare to set up a revival station

Also, yes ZC materialized new weapons out of thin air, Those FAMAS style guns have the same stats as the GR light rifles, I got an order of parts in a few weeks ago and didnt want to wait to issue them out

This soldier takes a grenade from the box.


He removes the warhead and loads it into his grenade launcher

Critical Success He meant to destroy the cover, instead the grenade flies right into the chest of a Volhinyan soldier..


It explodes point blank, killing both.


Wanting to best his comrade, this recon operator unhinges the rocket on his back and peeks around the corner seeing several VK,


He fires at them...


This Volhinyan soldier prepares to block the round with his shield.


The blast is mostly redirected, but some of it sneaks between the shield and the tank, flying bavckward towards the grenade cache. Pact soldiers nearby see this, panic and attempt to dodge.


It is of no use, the box begins to detonate, 2 VK and 1 ZC are immediately killed in the first explosion sending grenades flying everywhere, on fire


Mayhem! more grenades go off like a cluster bomb, killing more, and mauling the bodies of he dead, out of 8 minifigs clustered in the area, only 2 survive


The rocket troop celebrates his epic win


Two Recon troops vacate the building with medical supplies and go across the street


The one in the helmet suggests to his partner that they grab the sniper rifle, and try to scoop the fallen off the roof.


They pull him off the roof


Critical Fail he lands on his head and breaks his neck, he won't be returning to the battle...


The two leave the building, agreeing with one another to never speak of the fuck-up they just caused.


Sniper leaves the safety of the house, and fires from behind a car, trying to get a better shot on the ZC sniper


He hits the wall... but knocks him off balance


He hits the ground


He gets up.. a medik nearby is ready to help him.


The officer and medik react as a slab of roofing falls off and hits him in the head...

The last remaining Volhinyan soldier grabs a GT lance left on the ground


In a fit of rage, or in a blaze of glory. he charges at the guy who just wiped out so many soldiers.




He's stuck with the lance


the warhead explodes inside him, splitting him in two

She goes to revive a fallen soldier


Critical Fail She pulls his head off trying to roll him over. Someone shouts from across the street "Fking Amateur!"


The other medik, fully revives an AT Rifleman without incident.


This gunner tears down his emplacement


A grunt nearby, stacks a piece of rubble as an emplacement for the gun


The gunner goes and sets the gun up on the fortification, with the barrel sticking out the hole.


A nearby squad leader (left) rallies the rest of the troops that are ready to go, and leads a charge across the park. The trooper with the plasma rifle fires at the bar


It knocks the door off the hinge and smokes a Confederate soldier in the back.


The guy with the battle rifle then fires at the open door


Another one gets hit, sending him flying back over the boxes. dead


The squad leader goes to fire at another unit, but misses, his pulse rifle breaks part of the wall


Three GR soldiers stare down the lone VK trooper, a lowly private steps forward looking to get his first kill


Critical Fail He trips over something on the road


He falls on his weapon and it goes off, killing himself.


A second soldier steps up to the plate, shoots and misses... That VK won't die.


The squad leader steps up as the team's last chance


... The VK is done for


OVERKILL High damage roll, the burst cuts the VK to pieces... he's double dead.


-Another- small group of GR soldiers break from their cover and push the advantage.


The soldier with the pulse rifle experiences a weapon jam, but the one with the battle rifle fires on the ZC machinegunner


He breaks the cover and also smokes him in the torso.


The GR Officer, feeling he's missing on the glory, screams at the soldiers in the bunker "YOU TWO GONNA SIT ON YOUR BUTTS ALL DAY?!. ON ME!. LET'S GET SOME"


They follow the Officer into the frontline.

One medic successfully revives the Sniper without incident.


Frustrated that he failed to save anyone, the other medic throws down his medikal equipment and runs to the frontline to get in the fight


An ally steps out of the alley with him, and fires at Galacian soldiers, he misses.


Critical Fail Not paying attention to what he is doing, he accidentally shoots and kills his ally.


A soldier in the bar assists the rocket trooper in reloading *trooper uses turn to reload rocket*


The rocket trooper climbs out of the building and gets ready to blast the machinegun nest

Well, what the officer said.

Redrover has been away for a while, and there wasnt much he could do in terms of killing on this turn. I opted to NPC him, as in I played the turn.

Also, did the same for bann because he had been giving me pretty simple and vague orders, I figured he wanted to just keep pushing the attack.


Recon troops take the medical gel and walk towards fallen troops


With two to choose from, they pick the dead rocket guy. As he probably singlehandedly turned the tide of the battle


Success! They are able to put him back together.. without a proper hospital he may not live long, however.




Other Recon troops move forward into the fray


Sniper decides to use a corpse as a weapon rest. A nearby medic scolds him
Medic: "Hey man that's not right!"

The trooper assisting the machinegunner shouts to the troops in front to clear the way.


Amoungst a bunch of screaming, GR troopers scatter out of the path of the Shuka as it gets ready to fire.

Two more soldiers step up to the plate and fire down the street


The horrible medik finally has karma catch up to him.


Another pair of troops nearby, advance and fire down the road too


With no one to redshirt this time, the officer gets killed

Rebel Sniper "Listen to me. we're the only ones left, we're not going down without a fight... but I have a plan... drop your weapons, and follow me."


They emerge from behind the bar with their hands up
GR Trooper "HANDS UP!. STEP OUT SLOWLY"


Rebel Sniper "When I say, run into that alley"


He looks up on the roof and sees something.


Rebel Sniper "Theres a rocket launch site on the roof of that building..."


They suddenley dive into the alley..


Take grenades..


And heave them.





Rubble falls on them both, killing them.


The other half of the roof flies forward and crushes two troopers... a rocket round comes down with it


It blows up, killing the other two.

The Rest of the recon team comes over with the rocket user on a stretcher

GR Medic "Why are they trying to fucking tanks down these streets..?!"

Several faceless shock troopers emerge from the apc and stand in columns like they're laying out a red carpet for someone.
GR Trooper "Who the fuck is this now?"


Two minifigs in lavish armor exit the vehicle.
Lt Sawchuk: "Shul!...uh... PLATOON... ATTEN-TION!"


Gen. Shulga: "Lieutenant. My congratulations on your victory today, most other sectors in Kurgan have reported similar success... The day is ours..
Lt Sawchuk: "Yes General. Thank you, sir"
Gen. Shulga: "I would speak to one of your men, Lieutenant.."
Lt Sawchuk: "Yes General.


Gen. Shulga: "I understand that you are the one responsible for that explosion.."
Sgt Spooner *weakly* "Yes.. sir"
Gen. Shulga: "While I do not approve of reckless and wanton destruction of our own buildings, You killed a lot of rebels.. and broke the back of their forces in this district, And I also believe that explosion inspired forces in neighboring districts all the same..
Gen. Shulga: "When you have healed, I would like to extend an invitation to you in one of our finest programs... I'm always looking for good soldiers."
Sgt Spooner *weakly* "Of course!.. thank you General"


The General and his escort pile re-enter the APC.


Unknown Praetorian: "Troopers!. Load up in the transports. you're headed back to base!"
Unknown Praetorian: "Report to your quartermasters once you arrive. New equipment is being issued to all Ground Forces. In time for the rally next week. Dismissed!"

GG, good to see you've got quite some kills out of that one, even though GR felt slightly OP.
For future battles, I'd suggest to either shrink down the battlefield a bit or grant you infantry some APCs for quicker movement across the map.

truth be told I was pushing people along to get this wrapped up sooner because I wanted to start on my next battlefield, which wont be urban.

I havent got it planned but I just want to be able to move plates around and test stuff out. and I also need my figs off the table because im doing a new overwatch soon


My closing thoughts - Self review

- I think put too many hazards on this map.
- I need better FX, This will be solved soon, I ordered about $40 worth of parts soley dedicated to things like explosions, fire, blood. etc
- need more Melee combat and overall less gun vs gun combat
- I could have done the turns faster, but RL was calling

Also, I feel GR won because of a combo of lucky explosions, and a lot of critfails at the worst possible time on the other side.

but I digress..
