The balloon could be handy

Re: Encyclopedia Medivo, Volume 3
I recently bought a bunch of 10x10 octagonal plates to try them out as new unit bases:
They're doing a pretty good job on first try - Certainly less roomy than the old 8x16s, but I think they will be a little easier to move around and hog less battlefield space.

Mythos army gets its own warmachine, an abandoned ballista "uprooted" and lugged around by an earth elemental:
Soleki got a new commander unit in the form of the Sun Priest:
I also got more minis to expand sun knights into a full squad:
Falx and Drakhirri underwent a merger, the new faction is called Talonclaw:
Drakhirri (now Dragonblades) received a wardrobe change, and the faction has a commander unit now in the form of the Battlemage:

Nice stuff. That ballista on the earth elemental is a great idea.

I'm actually really really liking the green octagonal plates w/the decoration, I might have to steal that idea and retire the black CMF display tiles I usually use. Also love the new Falx.

Honestly, I can only recommend giving it a go - especially how cheap they are and you can frequently buy them in bulk. I wish the same could be said about green 4x4s.

Fantastic! That staff is great, and the aztec theme fits the Soleki like a glove.Zahru II wrote:

Re: Encyclopedia Medivo, Volume 3
Ork air superiority? On Northeros?
It is more likely than you may think.
A certain defeat definitely left a deep mark on the ork cultural conscious. While the dwarves have given up on conquering the skies, the orks of the wastes worked tirelessly to recreate and surpass the whirring engine of doom ever since, finally managing to break through at the cusp of the age (somehow).
So yeah, it's an ork gyro. Guess it can throw rocks? Bombs? Get filled with archers? Detect stealth? Idunno, it's more fluff than crunch buildwise. Gonna try and see if I can get a more elegant solution for the railing next weekend.

I really like all the play features built into your creations.

Are you going to do a soap or anything about the merge and creation of the new faction?

Yeah, I think that'd make more sense as rudder control. Basically I just thought it'd be cooler if that was a moving piece too. Otherwise it's just "It Works" ork tech.ninja_bait wrote:I like it.

I'm guessing this is about Talonclaw? Technically the arc's begun and has been left open-ended for a good while now. I've the broad strokes of it still in my head, but having sporadic collection access makes orchestrating things difficult. At the very worst I could resort to prose, but the opportunity might present itself to do something cooler and more tactile.RedRover wrote:Are you going to do a soap or anything about the merge and creation of the new faction?
tl;dr - idk man, maybe?
