Field Hazards are back up, now in their own Chapter F:
http://brikwars.com/rules/draft/f.htm
Relatively minor changes here. Ion weapons are now added to the
list of Fire variants. Dice that are powered by a Creation now get used once per turn. The Scout card graphic still needs updating from the 2010 version, but I'll do that tomorrow. Scouts now detect Stealth but don't practice it themselves.
Edit: Scout card is now updated.

This is now fixed.

Scout pathfinding seems kinda weak if you can only move at half speed. I'd probably just go around the hazards, or take my chances going through them at full speed. Especially if I had a bunch of other units, I'd want them through quickly instead of having the scout lead them moving 2.5" per turn.
Why not full speed pathfinding for the scouts? It'll be fine

The scouts rules are kind of placeholder right now while I figure out how I want them to sync up with Commandos. Commandos can borrow abilities from anyone with a specialty die, and they definitely need some pathfinding, so I'm looking at good ways to make it die roll based rather than Half Speed. Most likely something like a d8 of safe movement + stops before blowing up.
The scout's big advantage used to be stealth, but they were overloaded with both stealth and stealth-spotting ability. So they've been getting a big shakedown in the last couple of years to improve their tactical role focusing.

This is some high level trolling.

I just repurposed the stuff from the wiki. I can't really use it for the book unless I go through and credit everybody properly and take out the Lego trademark stuff. But I was pretty pleased with it regardless.

That looks much better.

I didn't get to delete as much stuff as I'd hoped to - maneuvering types, thrust, and collisions are still in there, although I tried to clarify them where I could. But I did make some nice changes to Movement to offload some mental overhead. Vehicle movement now comes in three basic flavors: 5", 10", and 15" (Flight only). The 10" and 15" speeds decrease your maximum Armor d10s, so there'll be a tradeoff between speed and armor. You can still buy thrusters that let you trade speed for accuracy and power instead.
Maybe replace all armor D10s for 10" and 15" speed units with armor d8s or d6s?

Oh man, I like that a lot. But I've already got too many rule mechanics tied in to counting the number of d10s to disentangle them all. At least for this edition.

We don't infringe on trademarks, but we have no problem with infringing all over our own text boxes.

Chapter 11 is now uploaded:
http://brikwars.com/rules/draft/11.htm
Chapter 11 is quite large. Twice as large as chapter 8, which was previously the longest chapter in the book.
With that, we have a complete rulebook draft for the first time in a little while. There are still card graphics to put together and illustrations to fill in and stuff, but the rules are functionally complete.

I think I've figured out the problem with the overlapping text boxes; it was a CSS conflict between some fixed-width and percentage-width calculations. I think I've got it fixed now.
