Re: BW 2018 Feedback
The skirmisher was harassment in the text and disengagement on the card. Does the sniper have a limit on weapon type or size? Like can she wear goggles and throw chakram across the field like Xena, or snipe with a ballista/cannon?

Re: BW 2018 Feedback
The Commander has the same italicized specialty text as the Leader. Also, a couple chapters show up as "BRIKWARS 2010" in the webpage title.
I make apocalypses and apocalypse accessories.

Thanks for catching these - now fixed.ninja_bait wrote:The Commander has the same italicized specialty text as the Leader. Also, a couple chapters show up as "BRIKWARS 2010" in the webpage title.
The sniper must use a minifig Long-Ranged Weapon with a scope on it, specifically. A chakram is a Thrown Weapon.Maraxous wrote:Does the sniper have a limit on weapon type or size? Like can she wear goggles and throw chakram across the field like Xena, or snipe with a ballista/cannon?

Congratulations Stubby!
I guess we can't really make fun of you for your laziness anymore (except for Rainbow War, or the trading card game, or the Grail Quest, or...)

Re: BW 2018 Feedback
replace vehicle health with making up reasons for a catastrophic explosion every time a shot goes through the armour
Re: BW 2018 Feedback
My next project is finishing BW2010, so there's still that.Colette wrote:Congratulations Stubby!

Then I'm coming back to 2018 and taking out all the stealth rules, and making a new chapter for consolidating all the reference tables, and moving all the CP and U" budgeting stuff over there.
And then I'm bringing back custom ammo.

Re: BW 2018 Feedback
All right, I just did all this stuff minus the reference tables. There's a bunch of minor changes and refinements throughout; the only chapter that didn't get an update was chapter 4 somehow. Some interesting new twists to Explosives thanks to ninja_bait.stubby wrote:Then I'm coming back to 2018 and taking out all the stealth rules, and making a new chapter for consolidating all the reference tables, and moving all the CP and U" budgeting stuff over there.

Much to Whiteeagle's dismay, I'm sure, CP has been eliminated entirely. RIP CP
Budgeting and Endgames have all been moved to a closing chapter titled Budgeting and Endgames: http://brikwars.com/rules/draft/end.htm

Re: BW 2018 Feedback
Seeing as I'm about to go home again soon, and we all know what that means, I was wondering if there were any particular rules you wanted to see playtested in either 2018 or 2010.

Man, if you want to playtest something, take a look at the campaign rules thread - with how fast you're able to burn through chat battles, you're in a better position to test them than almost anybody.Colette wrote:I was wondering if there were any particular rules you wanted to see playtested in either 2018 or 2010.

Re: BW 2018 Feedback
Its nice that they made the video with words about the Hatredcopter. - ( Hatredcopter LOL )
But some of the words were wrong, sheesh, I don't think she would appreciate that.
1 million years dungeon.

Re: BW 2018 Feedback
I have a lot to catch up on. So far I like the damage of weapons relying on the skill die because before it was obvious that equipping heroes with hand weapons wasn't very useful, and was most likely to result in both players falling asleep if two heroes equipped in such a fashion were starting a fight. I'm not sure if I fully understand deflection yet but it also seems to make way more sense than just a flat armour increase (which didn't stop an armoured hero from getting absolutely obliterated by 6 crossbowmen combining damage). I like that heavy weapons can be armour piercing now (gives some incentive to not equip a shield), and the knockback effect they have.

Re: BW 2018 Feedback
Are Instant Bennies new or did I manage to miss them all this time?
Re: BW 2018 Feedback
Instant bennies are from 2010, so they've been around awhile. I kept bouncing them around between different chapters while I was trying to figure out where they belonged in the rulebook, so you might have missed them while their location was in flux.
