Dienekes Medivo Factions
The Liossan Empire
Empress Meriall, ruler and Commander of the expansive Liossan empire, protected as always by her personal Phalanx: The Silver Lions.
The Great Company, made up of veterans that have killed foes in battle, wield great hammers and wear strong armor.
The main infantry units carry long spears and throw javelins before the battle line meets.
Basic infantry provides auxiliary support to the army as well as functioning as constables and law enforcement.
The missile troops wield crossbows to deal death from afar.
Heavy cavalry stand ready for violence with their many tools of the trade.
If horses weren't enough, dragon cavalry seethe with fury. The number of eligible riders remains slim, but the beasts can be trained to carry artillery on their backs in lieu of a rider.
The Liossans employ a number of field artillery to support their main troops.
Small ocean craft are maintained for transport over the waves.
The mighty host arrays itself for war.
The Kingdom of Vasluxia
Randoul V is the king of Vasluxia. He rides his noble steed, Thunderfoot.
Two of the greatest Vasli heroes. On the left is Keaton Greatsteel, a veteran of many wars and winner of any battles. On the right is Wymer, barbarous and unholy.
The Horned Brigade boast incredible victories and glories won despite their low numbers.
Long sword infantry and their Officer.
Short sword infantry and their Officer.
The Vasli Rangers, fierce Commandos, fight and travel alone. They bring death swift and silent.
The main missile troops carry crossbows.
The renowned Vasli heavy cavalry ride swift steeds with unmatchable skill.
The Vasli are no strangers to field weapons.
And when in need their navy, while not the most impressive, gets the job done.
The army lines up for a fight.
The Ylfing Clans
The Great King Halfdan and his axe, Legacy.
The Golden Knights, though few in number, are mighty in spirit.
The Paladins, sworn first to the sea, wield magikal power granted by the depths.
Though the Ylfing are a sea-faring folk, they employ cavalry when necessary.
The Admirals, in gilded armor, Lead the ships and fleets to war.
The Officers bring the men to bear both on land and sea.
The infantry and backbone of the Aethannian force. All of them are expert Skirmishers.
The archers who man the ships and support in the field.
Auxiliary ships in the fleet.
The great Fortress Ships, pride of the fleet.
The host readies to pillage and plunder.
The Archohellenium
The gods and goddess who command the Archohellene forces. Enyo, who is Discord; lover of Ares and Leader on the field, Ares Warmaker; the great Hero, and Apollo Far-Striker; the Grek Commander.
When Ares' helmet is seated upon his head the time for war is at hand.
Field horns and banner carriers amplify the messages of Enyo, their Leader.
War elephants march with thunderous feet guided by their handlers.
Grek heavy Phalanx infantry, the Spartiátēs.
Akhilleus, hero of the Myrmidons. Like his men, he is a Skirmisher.
Myrmidon Skirmishers and an Officer.
Hoplítēs Perioíkos light infantry Phalanx and an Officer.
Toxótēs and an Officer.
The Automatons, great war machines, courtesy of Haephaestus. They wield spear and sword with murderous efficiency.
The oxybelēs bolt thrower, the largest piece of artillery employed by the Greks. On the right is a small ballista.
Epibátēs Toxótēs marine archers stand next to Epibátēs Hellenes, the Grek marines.
The Epibátēs aboard their Triērēs warship.
The Grek forces arrayed for battle.

Mercenary Groups
The Scorpions are led by Vlädhek, an expert swordsman and utterly ruthless. They may not have the numbers of other mercenary companies, but they are just as formidable in battle.
The Bulls, led by Cedrik the Bull(y), are almost as likely to attack their employers as anyone else. They cost almost nothing to hire and so take to looting at every opportunity.
The Steel Legion are the contractors of mercenary groups. They hire out work to a number of small organizations leading to a menagerie of different kit and heraldry when they take the field.
Otherworldly Horrors
The Ork warbands have always struck fear into the hearts of civilized man, but now that they have allied with their long time foes the goblins the world is warily building up defenses for a terrible offensive that is surely on the way.
The Necromancer in the mountains is ever building his skeletal forces in secret. Being a creep, he has a thing for snake-men and blood demons.

Re: Dienekes Medivo Factions
its really fascinating to me how many interesting medieval factions have been made with so few heraldries available
Re: Dienekes Medivo Factions
I came.
What do we have here? Unit diversity. Faction diversity. Coherent design. Effective use of 3rd party gear. Multi-part Lego weapons and impressive brick-builds.
The only misgivings I have are the low head counts for the unit types. I tried to build up my own fantasy setting a few years back and I know how outrageously expensive it can be. ESPECIALLY when you start bringing premium 3rd party bits in (I wonder how BW prices stack up against precious metals for weight...).
Still, though, can you imagine the spectacle of having these kinds of troops in numbers on a battlefield? You'd have a real shot at being the FIRST to win the HH twice in a row!

Re: Dienekes Medivo Factions
Thanks, all. Had a lot of fun putting it all together and the light box was one of my better purchases.
Once I get more free time there's much more to come. Glad everyone is enjoying the fruits of my labor. I'll be printing Stubby's comment and putting it on my wall.
I have a few projects ahead of increasing these armies, but I do plan on more original siege machines and boosting the numbers.these are beautiful man. make MORE of them
As you pointed out it's become quite expensive. The Greks unfortunately rely on Brickforge for pieces and for some reason they always discontinue the things I need when I need them. And of course $7+ for each of the Official Lego minis doesn't help either. The only misgivings I have are the low head counts for the unit types

Great stuff! Love the automaton. The boats are great, but I like the Fortress barge the most. I know I have some broke down pirate ships somewhere.

The minor factions are also great. I especially like the orks and goblins, because dinosaur riders. Everything looks really good. I envy your photography skills.

Re: Dienekes Medivo Factions
Well this was quite a little pleasure to see. I particularly appreciate:
1) The brick-built dragons
2) Creative part use for weapons
3) The navy!
