Went to a local comic convention and found a vendor selling a mix of minifigs and bootleg minifigs. You can't really tell by the picture quality, but the one on the right is the offical Lego one.

Re: The official LOOT topic
Honestly, I am just here to moan about modular buildings. Why on earth are we left with so few to pick from? The detectives office and parisian restaurant are both pretty boring, and assembly square doesn't fit the system properly (Would two full baseplates with some extra dead space have killed anyone?). The bank is the only all around good choice. Honestly of all the times you could pick to start collecting these, now seems to suck the most.
Rant over. Anyway, the pick a brick wall was TASTY today. I picked up a lot of nice parts, Including an entire tub of grey brick facade 1x2's.

You might bemoan the Parisian Restaurant from appearance, but it's an extremely entertaining and interesting build. To this day I still think it has the best details of any modular building (though Assembly Square, Detective's Office and Brick Bank are pretty close contenders). It kind of makes all of the buildings before it look bland by comparison.

For the price I got this set for, it was quite neat and voluminous on top of that.

Re: The official LOOT topic
Just realised that I haven't posted pics of my loot from CanGames last month. Not as big a haul as last year, but here it is:
First, I came another step closer to completing my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles rpg collection:

Also picked up a bunch of Mekton stuff. You might have noticed that I'm a bit of a mecha fan, but when Mekton was around in the 90's Heavy Gear was my mecha game of choice. I'm now picking up some of the stuff I missed out on "back in the day":

Hey! Those don't look half bad. No one ever bought anything before so I never knew how they'd turn out.

Yeah! They feel like they're nice quality and the printing looks great. Looking forward to using these soon.stubby wrote:Hey! Those don't look half bad. No one ever bought anything before so I never knew how they'd turn out.
Mike has a Red Bubble page where he sells made-to-order prints on stuff. Consider this some shameless free-advertising.Bragallot wrote:I didn't even know those were a thing. Where'd you get them?
