[FF19] Ken's FigVomit - Quinn Enters the Fray!
Within the tightly-knit confines of the Evergreen Depths, a familiar minfigure traverses. The crunching of snow under heavy fur boots is the only sound that permeates the forest. Very little wildlife is able to survive the Upper Norselands and although the traveler was aware of that, it still left him a little ill at ease.
"A-ha! Thought you could get the jump on me did ya?! Well-"
"-think a...gain?"
But there was nobody there. As far as he could tell, Quantumsurfer Ken was alone.
Ken sheathes his weapons and drops his hood from over his head, revealing locks of unkept auburn hair. He surveys the treeline but observes nothing out of the ordinary. "Huh," the minifig murmurs thoughtfully.
"I guess there's no place like home."
(more to come!)

Re: [FF19] Ken's FigVomit
Shrugging off his earlier uneasiness, Ken continues on his way through the forest.
One thing he shouldn't have shrugged off however, were his earlier suspicions. A lithe minifigure stood from its hiding place as their prey played right into its trap.
"Freeze," her sharp voice cut through the bitter cold air like the arrow she was about to release into Ken's abdomen . "You're surrounded, so don't even think about trying anything."
Ken stopped in his tracks and sighed. "Dangit," he murmured before raising his voice to address his would be captive, "if you're looking to rob me, I'm not exactly a noble."
Ken soon noticed the green-robed rangers that began to appear at his peripherals, quietly reaffirming that things could get ugly for him very quickly.
"Quiet," the woman replied flatly, "turn around, slowly, don't make us turn you into a pincushion."
"Yeah, I very much wouldn't like that," Ken mumbled. Quantumsurfer or not, Ken knew he was still very killable.
"Alright alright, here I go. Please don't acupuncture my-"
"-face."
"..."
"ooh man"
"Did you make that noise?" The ranger asked.
"No."
"Since you haven't robbed or murdered me yet, is there something I can... help you with?"
"Maybe," the ranger said, "I'm Quinn Tanner of Draklon, who're you?"
"The Draklon raiders huh? I'm Ken of Frostborne! And wait a minute, aren't you the bad guys?"
"Did you just say you're from Frostborne? This just got strangely more convenient."
"Uh, how so?"
Quinn let her hood fall behind her shoulders as she approaches Ken, "because we need to negotiate."
"Negotiate what?" Ken inquires.
"A truce."
"Not all Drakhirri are agreeing with how Kaptain Lucer has been running things lately, Ken."
"What else has he done besides attacking Pinewood?"
"You're... not kidding are you?" Quinn observed inquisitively, "aren't you aware that Esduin is invading your people right now?"
"Esduin sounds familiar but, invasion? How long have I been away from Medivo for...?"
Quinn throws her hood back over her head, "I think I had better show you something," she says urgently, signalling to her Drakhirri rangers to follow them.
"What? Where are we going?"
Quinn shifts around him and turns on her heel, "Esduin's beachhead. I have no idea where you could've been besides Medivo, but it's time to get you up to speed."
"Alright Quinn, lead on! I guess I owe you some narrative exposition along the way too."
The duo press further into the Evergreen Depths, as the rangers silently follow.
~End~
Guys I really didn't intend on turning this into a soap opera, maybe after the contest is over I'll move it over to the appropriate subforum. Just thought it'd be a neat way to introduce these characters and re-introduce Ken.

I had to look closely to see that was a Lego environment and not a minifig photoshopped onto a picture of actual nature. Great job sah.

The minifigs are great, fits extremely well into the beautiful winter landscape. And your photo angles give depth to the build. Bravo.

Ken (Updated Outfit)
Style -- 9.5
Combos are on point, Ken is as dashing as ever.
Story-- 8.9
really great story, felt like this was the highest I could go without an obvious Ragnablok tie-in. I know its coming, but I feel like it is only fair to judge off of the post before me.
Photography-- 10
Great photography, posing, scenery!
Thematic Potential-- 11
It's freaking QS Ken!
---
Quinn
Style -- 10
Just as detailed as Ken but purely original (first appearance) and we got to see two variants (Hood on and hood down).
Story-- 8.9
Again, same as above
Photography-- 10
Again, same as above
Thematic Potential-- 12
I love Ken, but Shinji might be my new favorite.

QS KEN
Style: 8/10 - liking the new look, the belt is a standout. Only points taken away are due to lack of being a new character.

Thematic Potential: 10/10 - obviously
QUINN TANNER
Style: 10/10 - Q.T. is a Q.T., no surprise here. Really good color work.
Story: 10/10 - hell yeah, you were the only person to do a whole ass soap to introduce the new character!
Photography: 10/10 - backgrounds looking so good it hurts, dat snow work tho.

QS KEN
Style: 9/10 - not entirely a fan of kustom parts personally, but you made really good use of them. I'm also a bit of a sucker for medievel themes
