I hadn't bought LEGO in a long time, but I kinda went on a spree, lol. I got:

Re: The official LOOT topic
If I add a few pieces they might look alright on my Inquistadores, who have kind of a bulky look to them anyway. The more detailed blasters looked a bit flimsy in their hands even if I added some pieces.

The old microphone blasters with one of those nozzle handle pieces plugged into them make great guns for normal infantry I've found. The new blasters however, make EXCELLENT grenade launchers I've found.

Re: The official LOOT topic
The sets arrived and I've incorporated them into my Scifi factions. Can't wait to show the results, but first I need to finish that forum battle and clean up that battlefield to make some space for pictures (I have literally less than half a square metre of space to put stuff right now... ).

Re: The official LOOT topic
Nice - I recently got this set too. I haven't finished building it yet, though.
I'm planning on getting the Ideas Medieval Blacksmith when it comes out. The AFOL whining about its roof on Eurobricks is already painful to read.

Boy, you weren't kidding: "Something about the blue sticks out to my eye. After reading your comments, it dawned on me that moss typically grows in ares with dirt, so starting on gutters, etc. would be the most logical place. It seems unusual that the dirt would be on the peak of the steepest part of the roof with the most exposure to sunlight (unless that is a north facing side of the building in which case I would expect it to have vines etc. on it and a wholly dirty roof). I would think that it would grow in the corners of the dormers. I think I will modify my version to have some olive small limbs extend over some roof tiles to try and make it more appealing to my eye. Regardless, I think that they did a good job making the flatter portion of the roof darker, since, as you say, it is likely dirtier."Mr. President wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 1:10 amThe AFOL whining about its roof on Eurobricks is already painful to read.
This is why I don't go on Eurobricks much, too much pointless whining about moss growth and not enough pointless bloodshed and violence.

I imagine the guy who wrote that to be holding a pipe with one hand and occasionally twirling his moustache with his other hand while typing.
I started putting together that Ninjago set today, did 4 of the 9 bags. Man it's huge The figs and accessories are pretty sick and the dragon is gonna be really badass though.

Re: The official LOOT topic
I couldn't help myself and ordered an army of 18 Ninjago goblins, 16 Ninjago orcs and 16 of the Ninjago cobra cultist dudes, along with some various other parts and pieces. They'll probably band together to form some new wild faction on Medivo.

Re: The official LOOT topic
First set in 2 years, completely an impulse purchase after I saw it in the window of a lego store and knew I had to have it regardless of how much my wallet protested
I don't normally modify sets, but I added the teardrop using a spare wedge block. It's a little too far forward, but is close enough an allusion to it for me.
The scale next to the Adventure is staggering, I thought that kit was big a decade ago, while Discovery is outright too big to swoosh (I tried). I do miss the external fuel tank and solid rocket boosters, the sheer size of the orbiter makes up for it.
Apollo 11 still towers over Discovery despite the 200+ brick deficit
Anyway, A+ l00t, definitely if you're a space nerd and have the coin consider picking this set up.
