Well yeah, Normal is awesome, has only one weakness, and is entirely resistant to ghost-type attacks. Psychic-normal typing is effing brutal.

But fire type is just flat out awesome lol.

Fire is stupid in competition due to the abundance of water, ground, and rock, but the absence of bugs, grass, and... yeah, it's not good.

Ingame, however, fire is always the best starter to kill the stupid early bug types and crazy-popular plant things. They also look cool and are on fire.

I didn't mind Diamond. Then again, I did start w/ Chimchar.

I remember when I was a kid that in my school only ONE kid got Pokemon Blue. Everyone else got Pokemon Red because Charizard looked so much more awesome on the cartridge than Blastoise did.

Now I think Blastoise looks so much more kick-butt than Charizard.

Naturally, everything is better with fart-lighting. Except your ass, which might get burnt.

I love Pokemon, but it just doesn't go anywhere. All the games have nearly the exact same plot, and the play doesn't evolve fast enough for my tastes, either.

Try the Mystery Dungeon games, they have an awesome plot (you might actually cry at the end), great music, every Pokemon except for Arcues and Shayman, and best of all, no EVs or IVs to worry about.

I did, and sorry, but it's not much of an improvement in my book. The fighting system is great, but it's all there is to the game. Too repetitive. I also hate that too much of it is luck-based. I hiked up an arduous 99 floors to recruit Mewtwo, doing everything available to increase my chances, and the basterd still didn't join me when I beat him.

Salamence is awesome! I hate Garchomp, even though he is a great pokémon for my sandstorm team. I use serebii for an index.

Dragons are pretty cool, Altarlia FTW!

Grass would probably be my favorite type though, I just wish the fourth generation had added more grass pokes, the only notable ones we got were Roserade, Tangrowth, and Shemi.
