Here are some more clues

1.
Nobody knows what they really are - namewise - they usually are to lazy to reveal themselves and tower over us in huge tripods - my tripod isn't that big. They feature as the bad-guys in two films, one of them is a remake.
2.
Its one of the bad-guys NatalyaAF mentioned - look at the ToOC Top Thread for the answer - somewhere

BTW - CftC will end soon so i need some sign-ups for blob, agent smith, predator and mars attacks martian.

Okay, here's a hint:

This enemy tempted Data, offering to make him be human. Also, they fought a lot with another one of the enemies I mentioned.

Superhero Smashdown has the most factions ever in a BrikWar - about 18
