And we are away! 72 hours is a rough guide as to when I'd like orders, but I'm flexible.

My outbox for those interested... "But who'd be interested?" you ask. To you I say 'Woosh'.

I'll put it another way, at this moment, there is a slightly smug BrikGuy, who received something other than the generic template I sent to everyone else. You're a smart guy, figure it out.

Turn 1 - TLA
TBD got his orders in first, so he gets initiative.
Can I get stats for my ships at some point? It's not particularly urgent though.

Anyway:
the fleet closest to the Trattorian dreadnought turns towards it and fires everything.
Ask and you shall recieve. Sorry, I thought everyone was still aware I was using this.

Also, just a reminder, shooting is first in this game (as shooting is most fun), movement is secondary.
Image

Missile launch codes are punched in, unleashing a wave of missiles towards the Trattorian Dreadnought, while its escorting frigates fire off laser volley to try and score hits at the dread at impressive range. The damage potential is blunted, only hitting for 39.5 damge.

Image

The missiles however were unopposed, slamming into the warships outer plating, and dealing one point of structure damage, reducing the vessel to 13.

Image

Drives are fired up, and the squadron performs a tight turn, to bring them along side the Luchardsko dread.

Turn 1 - Venice
Scratch came next.
Forward Squad, angle towards the closest Emerian squad and fire all weapons, launch fighters if available.
It's a negative on the fighters sorry.
Image

Laser fire crackles across the void, hitting the Emerian ships. 28 damage in total.

Image

The first frigate is defenceless, it's surface super-heating in an instant, it's crew boiled alive.

Image

The Venetian squadron comes around. Should the Emerian squadron not move, the Venetian squadron will be in range to get a 50% damage bonus next turn.

It's fap material for table nerds.

Move refers to movement in UT (1UT =8 Studs).

Surv(ivability) refers to the number of dice a vessel gets to add to its squadrons defence pool when they're shot at. For example, the Emerian ships got 6 dice total to roll against the 28 incoming damage.

EDPT is a complex way of saying "Base Damage", it is unmodified damage. Every ship has an optimal range, Use this lovely chart, the numbers along the top are ranges in UT, 1 through 31 (to give a sense of scale, the Athenia is 14 UT), cross check your weapon types, against that chart, and your intended targets to find your optimal location. Missiles don't have this, instead they face interdiction, so protip, if your ships have missiles, indicated by an 'M' on this chart, you'll do more damage against squadrons with fewer escorts (small ships).

This only applies to my game, and not to Colettes/Silvers. I'm using this ruleset as It's fast, about 5-10 minutes per squadron.

Ok, so why does Briktoid only have two entries labeled "Conifer" and "Swarm?"

As this list is far from complete, even though it's still 60 odd vessels. It was an attempt to make stats for 'everything', but I scaled it back when I realised I don't have time to type out 100's of vessels worth of numbers, and that even then, collecting all the files for all ships would be impossible (I took the time to create a full catalogue of all those vessels, which I'll release some time).

Alright, because one of the Mass Produced Frigates has Rail Guns, and the Conifer actually has two Battleships strapped to it's sides.

Turn 1 - Polonia

Next Was Duerer... It only took like 4 months.
Duerer wrote:Let my squad fire at the Venetian squad right before me. Then move towards the nearest Bavarian squad to the left.
Image

The polan squadron opens fire, destroying two Venetian escorts.

Image

The squad then burns towards the Bavarian squadron.

Turn 1 - Luchardsko

Falk got his orders in next.
Falk wrote:Fire all the weapons on my dread at the Trattorian dread, then move it to block the dread's firing lane on the freighters, while allowing the most guns to fire on the Trattorian dread.
The Chimera moved ready to fire, staring down the still burning Athena.
Image
The torrent of fire is massive, but by sheer luck, or force of will, the shields hold.

Image
Regardless, the Chimera moves forward undaunted (another turn or so, and it'll be in brawling range for a lot of extra damage).

(Quick GM note, space is 3D, Epik Space is an abstraction of that, blocking line of fire as such isn't a thing, and nor is lining up guns. Think of your ships as nothing more than spheres in space with a single gun pointing in all directions simultaneously. What you see in pics is just a veneer).

Turn 1 - Trattoria

And Colette...
Colette wrote:Athenia dread advances and fires on the Luchardsko Chimera dread, using the Mjolnir Cannon/doomsday weapon. The Heisenberg battle group moves up and fires on its Luchardsko counterparts, focusing on the battleship.
OK quick point, one squadron per turn, I discussed this with colette in chat. Also, Doomsdays were originally scheduled for turn 5, however, I will be moving them forward to the end of Turn 3. Also, focusing on the battleship isn't a thing, you fire at the squad, with the escorts being the first to die.
Image
The Heisenberg spins, firing its lasers in a cutting motion across the sky, and striking the Luchardsko.

Image
3 of the Luchardsko escorts are obliterated in the laser fire.

Image
They then close in, bringing them easily in brawling range.
