@Topic: Watched it yesterday and I must admit, that the Resistance looked much cooler in comparison to the First Order. In fact, it's one of very few examples of fiction, where the good guys had much more class, than the baddies.

In the SW Legends canon, in an untrained individual the Force would manifest itself like an aptitude or "luck", for example the individual would be better at flying, repairing, healing, physical activities, etc. However they wouldn't be able to consciously channel the Force without the proper training in either the Light or Dark sides of the Force. I'm assuming this is what Keldo means by "using the Force without training".

the whole mind trick seemed put of place to me. Like they had Rey do it just so she would do a mind trick.

The lightsaber part was really cool though.

The lightsaber part was pretty cool, and you could always argue that Kylo was weakened after taking a bowcaster bolt to the chest and dueling Finn, while Rey was desperate and emotional so she had more power.
