ok ok cut it out I thought of a way to solve this. It doesn't matter if you vote or not because both of them will be in the game. But the necrons will have a different style of playing. I will explain you tomorrow evening or on monday. (the necrons wont have a secret fig they will be strong) Birdman you still get the necron lord.

He does. And Tau aren't fanatics that charge. They won't charge, they just don't run away always. (but Ld. 6 just sucks.) and Fanatics charge Banzai style, where Tau will sit and shoot. That is their whole strategy. (although kroot and Vespids provide a little change.)
Anyway, it's good that we have three teams in, as this shall be fun! Do we have stats yet? For marines, I think Minifigs with +2 armour is good, while necrons can be the same thing, but resurect on a 4+ turn after they die.
Tau? Maybe light armour (+1, but no move penalty) with rifles. Everyone should have rifles, but maybe Marines have M weapons for when they have Chainswords.

You read my mind about the armor thing. (and the resurrection thing.)
But the necrons will start the battle with only the necron lord. He will gather the corpses of necrons and revive them. And the gun drone has the armor rating of 3. The tau will have long, and the rest will have medium ranged weapons. The marines wont have chainswords, they will have a powersword and a plasma gun.
Edit: I hope Pesgores doesn't say "NEEDS MOAR BASEPLATES!!!" because if I made a big battlefield it would take a lot of time and the game would be boring.

I have nothing against tau over Chaos Marines, Eldar, DeamonHunters whatever. The Battlesuits are awesome deffinitely, and I may eventually start an army after I have my Nids and Marines where I want them.
Really though, some people consider them as having only one tactic, sit and shoot. plus, people who play assault oriented armies will have a low opinion if they get in close. (like deepstriking Assault marines.
