One more question, though. Should we keep that to this thread or move it into a new thread? For setting, I'm thinking either Boston or Denver, somewhere familiar, but fresh. A main antagonist would be difficult, but I'm sure the lexicon of knowledge that is BrikWars could find a way.

Keep it in this thread, and as for the main antagonist, The Institute from the blade runner quest in 3 is supposed to be somewhere in the New England area. They could work as a villain.
I want Fallout: China, Fallout: Canada, or Fallout: Russia (Admittedly Metro 2033 does a good enough job of Fallout: Russia)
Only problem with silver bullets is the price of silver.

If only someone could do a overhaul of fallout Nv or 3 and could put our script into playable form.

Is that really a problem though? The fallout universe is full of different play styles, and 3 and NV are almost unrecognizable from the top-down turn-based strategy of the first two. I like change, change is good.

I wasn't thinking of it in those terms, but more the fact that the rebuilt NCR isn't the wasteland. No hordes of raiders/super mutants/wildlife out to get you, no ruined buildings to loot and fight through, the area's civilized, and so far the 3D games haven't really done civilized. It basically would be "Oblivion with guns", and while I don't have an issue with that in theory, I'm not sure you could go the whole game like that.

They did Skyrim with guns fairly well.

New Vegas is relatively civilized. I thought it was a really cool departure from the rest of the Fallout series, which has sequentially become more and more civilized, as the wastelanders begin to slowly heal. Look back at 1 and pretty much everyone's living in shitty shacks (vault city aside), while in 2 the NCR starts forming strong. 3 introduces us to a new wasteland, but even here places like Rivet City stand as a bastion for civilization. New Vegas is, so far, the most developed city we've seen in the first-person games, and I think it'd be cool to see more of that as the world changes.

Just because Dayglow or Shady Sands is rebuilt doesn't mean the shit in between is either, which I feel is where most of the questy shit would happen anyways.

Well, Las Vegas (New Vegas for anyone new to Fallout) was protected by Robert House (The Fallout version of Tony Stark)'s lasers or some shit.

I feel like Boston/the Commonwealth, which is a war-torn hellhole, and the rebuilt NCR, which would be nice if done right (like if you were a merc or something) would be the best locations for a new Fallout game.

Started playing New Vegas. I feel that Fallout 2 was better. Then again, both of the games seem to have a lacklustre intro level, that for some reason I want to loop over and over to get my character "just right".

Also, does anyone know where I can find Van Buren? I can only find the demo, which was nice, but I want to play what Black Isle made before they got shut down.

Pretty sure the tech demo is that got released into the general public.
