Thank You, they are a mix of various ideas I have seen on the internet. They will make a showing when I post the faction later. I have to play with my camera some more to figure out how to get good pictures.masterMISICK wrote:Oooooh nice suits Daniel.

I can't be asked to read through 4 pages of what appears to be people commenting on photography and Daniel's nice attire.
So if this has already been said, don't shoot me...
Rather brotherhood of steel - ish.
And on selling stuff,
. And hand your money over before Warhead comes.

Dude to incredible demand, Alltimate has released thrusters for the Black Knight. You can buy 4 together as the Raven pack.
This lets the Black Knight fight in space, or lets it fly for short periods of time on the ground.
You might be wondering what that gun is... It's a Beam Cannon.
Also made by Alltimate, the Beam Cannon is a size 3 weapon but with some anti-armour characteristics. I'll post them in the wiki later.
There you see the underside. The power cartridge is good for 12 shots, but is easily changed. You really only need 2 if you can hook up the spent cartridges to a fusion generator of some sort. That way you can recharge the original and switch it for the spare when the spare runs out.

Now that is cool.
One question though, this (and so many other hard suits and vehicles)
seem to have much more weaponry than the size of the unit would be able to support (according to the 2005 rules). Please explain how this works with the rules.
Edit:Unless this is a universal fudge of the rules...

It's fudging by way of custom rules. Basically as long as your opponent doesn't object it's legal. That or I could be like fuck it and say it's size 2 instead of size 1 (even though it's barely more than an inch spinal column length) and then it would be allowed to carry the cannon under normal circumstances. I try to make up for its insane power by way of increased CP cost, but in retrospect I think it might be under-priced.

Lets face it nobody cares about whether it can be supported if it makes lots of explosions and looks awesome.

Generally, the awesomer a unit looks, the more likely your opponents are to let you overpower it. It's kind-of like the Maytricks:
This universal law was witnessed in the California Winter battle. No one seemed to have a problem with BrikThulu destroying everything he touched, but when the Hodgepodgians tried to launch a super nuke and destroy half the battlefield, Tuefish and RoC77 intervened and gave Almighty Benny's in favour of the Assyrian hero Regulus using a heroic feat to shoot it out of the sky with his .44 magnum, where it blew up without harming anyone.
Now, the nuke was a big stupid multi-coloured joke cylinder nuke... But if it had looked like the Saturn V or something it might have been allowed to destroy the battlefield.
See, we all know that, as far as minifigs are concerned, the laws of the universe are written by the dice-throwing humans, so if they can be convinced to let something fly, then it does. It's easier to convince the humans to let something awesome happen if the unit looks awesome too; if the unit is crap then the humans probably won't let it do anything cool.A user of the Maytricks is able to perform miraculous feats such as flying and dodging bullets by hacking the laws of physics and reality with their minds. They usually can only do this when they wear black leather trench coats and look completely badass, otherwise the laws of the universe tend to enforce themselves upon the minifig. (They'll look the other way if it's a cool minifig doing it.)
