Sort of the 1x6x5's are for the Apoc display at brickfair and the 1x8 were just a good deal.

At first I thought this wasn't worth buying, but the ostrich mounts, the Dastan minifig, the dark tan parts, and the lots o' weapons are extremely tempting.

It's a clear buy for me, I mean, look at Ross's ostrimount... and a shirtless Peach! It's too good for me to pass up on.

Hmm... Thinking about it, Prince of Perisa movie isn't out yet, so I guess this set is a bit of a spoiler, so anyone watching it there's apparnetly going to be an ostrich race scene in the movie.

The movie has been in cinema for few days here in Iceland, weird that it is not in USA. Also Ironman 2 was shown one week before USA here in Iceland. probably it has something to do with the size of the country.

Yeah, I'm enjoying the set. Keep in mind that I've been plotting to buy it since the pre-retail pictures leaked- mainly because I had plans for the ostrich. There is some good stuff in it besides the ostrich though- I'll be using the peach body for one of my stop-motions.

Also, I was kinda surprised when I built it- Take a look at the opening mechanism. It's a rather intuitive design.

Definitely worth the twenty bucks for me.

I would really like the peaches for something I'm working on right now, a forum battle involving my Green District army.

Oh yeah I should probably mention my old forum battle closed down because Lrdofbricks disappeared and no one was taking the available faction. Also this one will be more epic. :D

goddamn PoP sets arent available here yet . . .

anyway, I went on my monthly ABS-hunt to find another cargo truck for a roadtrain . . . which I didnt find.

so I got this:

I figured oil or gas is very valuable when one lives in the endless desert I use as my backdrop, which means my ranger mercs have something they can protect in exchange for oil or cash.
review: I like it, but the trailer's wheels only extend one plate from the bottom.

when I walked to the register with my bew purchase I accidentally stumbled on these, though I used to think they werent available in holland:

review: stocks are too short, colors are horrible, but I simply love the mechanisms!

after my visit to the store I visited the flea market where I found a guy with some bags of brix. I got a sweet deal on some nice pieces including figs, a dragon and lots of plants for battlefields plus assorted stuff.
just one thing: the guy who used to own these apparently was a smoker, judging from the smell. does anyone have any tips to get rid of it before I mix them with the rest of my brix?

ok, and now the find of the month:
on the same flea market I found an M1 helmet like this:

inner and outerhelmet with net, for a mere 10 euros. getting the net over it was a pain in the ass though. need to get me a camouflage cover and a chinstrap

if 20 chickens can fit in a brick, how many pingpongballs does a crocodile have to eat so it can swim faster than a washing machine?

Also a couple shirts and some dried crickets and mealworms.

It's nice to have a paying job again.
