The wreckage is on the horizon, but Marcel spots signs of an ambush. Thinking fast, he tells everyone to follow him. He leads the way, and your group finds itself with a prime position to either ambush the WCF troops or ignore them and get to the wreckage.

If you are attacking, roll combat for turn order.

Too much trouble to constantly waffle between me rolling and everyone rolling. So I'm doing it.
You find 10 WCF troops awaiting attack from the other direction. 7 are equipped with frontier rifles, cheap weapons which really are not suited to combat. Two are equipped with proper assault rifles, and one with a sniper rifle.

X-707 rolled Combat: 8+1(+1)
James rolled Combat: 18+2
(I gave your assault rifles to those who could most easily use them. Ramdeep and X-707 left their uplinks at the RAV.)
Ramdeep, Marcel, and James sieze the initiative and open fire on the WCF forces. Nathan and X-707 do not hit to the same effect, but they are ready for combat. Thomas stumbles and presents himself as a prime target.

Three WCF troops fall to the combined fire of Ramdeep, Marcel, and James; two with frontier rifles and one with an assault rifle. X-707 and Nathan wound two soldiers with frontier rifles.

Thomas is at the front, and takes his turn after the WCF troops. Ramdeep, Marcel, and James are one point, while X-707 and Nathan are behind them. Aside from Thomas, everyone goes before the WCF.

With pinpoint precision, Marcel cleanly shoots the sniper in the eye. Crimson mist spews from his face, and his corpse falls to the ground.

Ramdeep rolled Combat: 12+1+1
Doctor Dundati remembers his combat training and shoots the soldier with the assault rifle in the stomach. The target doubles over in pain. x-707 finishes the job, putting a bullet in his chest and bringing him to the ground for good.
James and Nathan still need to go.
