need some pointers

So I'm going to host a forum battle using a scene I created listed under "upcoming tavern battle" but don't fully grasp how to host one correctly if someone could give me some instruction.

Well you set up a battle with various factions and make pictures of the battlefield and those factions. Adding a little story comes in nice as well. Then people choose which faction they want to play. Usually this works on a first come first serve basis. Once you have enough players you start the battle and players private message their orders. You play out those orders which usually involves a lot of fudging because a player commanding a tank battalion and a gazillion infantry will often just send something like: "wreck shit up!". Now while you play out these orders take photos and possibly some notes along with them. Then put all those photos online for the players to see what happened with their orders. After that they can send in more orders for the next turn. Or maybe not when they have given you standing orders. It's totally up to you how much you want to fudge, in what order you play out player actions and even how much information you want to give players about their units.
Actually it's not all that complicated and battles will go smoother with experience.
