The Xtreme Philosipher

Post by ahp77 » Sun May 10, 2009 9:21 am

Armor: 1d4 (more if he/she can get him- or herself blessed)

Move: 1d6 (")

Skill: 1d6-1 (")

Abilities:

Philosophical Feat: The Xtreme Philosopher may use his deductive reasoning and argumentative processes to perform an amazing feat that others may or may not agree with based on how they have viewed the world up until this point or how open minded they are (create Deep Thought, kill a god, summon an artifact etc.)

Drawn to the Unnatural: May only be used when a supernatural unit is fielded.

That makes NO sense.

How about can only be fielded when a supernatural unit, such as Angels, Deamons, and Brickthulu (Oh My!). Or perhaps a triangle. But gods are not used enough to make Philosphiers useful at all.

See Rayhawk's post on the first page of the GOD thread.

And yes, I am trying to get the highest amount of threads in the "Threads that are Dumb" section.

I was more worried about THAT part. Why would a philosopher who was the most extreme of them all do something to DEFY his own way of life? He would be using philosophy to do it, not defying it. That's why it makes no sense.

still.. I'd probably use it as an excuse to say: he tries to behead you with Occam's razor. after summoning Laplace's demon.
Act first, then think, then try to find a way to cover up the horrible mess you made.

Yes, but those are philosophical things.

I would change the wording to:

Philosophical Feat: The Xtreme Philosopher may use his deductive reasoning and argumentative processes to perform an amazing feat that others may or may not agree with based on how they have viewed the world up until this point or how open minded they are (create Deep Thought, kill a god, etc.)

I hate philosophy. And philosophers are boring.

Philosophy is the study of general problems concerning matters such as existence, knowledge, truth, beauty, law, justice, validity, mind, and language.

You just called yourself boring, almighty one.

...you forgot to mention that common practices of Philosophy are normally centred around drinking establishments of some form and that complex thought of this type should never be ventured into without the safety net of some alcoholic beverage... or two... Bar nibbles are optional.

With a name like that you expect him to have been sober... come on. The answer is yes... perhaps not sick in the car park, bent over the hood of his car with his keys up his ass wondering why the car wont start, drunk but... nicely mellow drunk maybe.

The bold subject is the worst thing. We exist because we were born. Period.
