Man, you guys are lucky. The closest to me is a target and a wal-mart, and both of those always have terrible selection. There's a toys 'r' us about fifteen-twenty minutes away though.

Pahh! Buy Lego? Not I. I haven't bought a set in twenty years. I was probably the most awesome shoplifter that ever lived though.
Do not try this at home kids, you have to go to the shops to shoplift. Err, I mean, don't shoplift it's naughty. No, shit, I mean, I'm Joe-King! Only kidding, honest. I would never do such a terrible thing. I had lots of aunts and stuff when I was young and did lots of extra work for cash to pay for my Lego habit. I also used mail order for tons of special stuff like minifigs and weapons and such. And that's the truth.

Ebay looks like it could be worth a look. I've had a glance or two and you just need to know how to bid. Preferably in the last dying seconds of the auction. Also look for misspellings of items. You can usually find someone has screwed up and take advantage. What? Ok, so it's not moral or right but all is fair in procurement.

Yeah, nice try at a cover up recovery, timesplender-. Get the heretic! Oh, and welcome to the mayhem btw.
You know, I've heard that public transport are apparently doing these new introductory things called busses. The idea is you pay a small amount of money and they take you places on a pre-scheduled route. You may want to check into this.tahthing wrote:I have to go over a freeking massive hill (also known as the south downs) and then some to get to the nearest lego shop!

I usually use the pick a brik section up at the nearest lego store which is only 20 min up the 15 freeway. its actually alot cheaper and for certain items can even beat out bricklink, though thats rare. and to boot they are new.

a bus going over a hill takes ages plus they smell and they have little children crying/pukeing for no reason.Warhead wrote:You know, I've heard that public transport are apparently doing these new introductory things called busses.
