Rabid class gunboat

the rabid class is designed to be an anti fighter/shuttle platform, armed to cover all arcs it comonly deployed alongside ships that lack a good antifighter defense. the rabid in keeping with its mercenarie roots is also equiped witha tow cable for removing valuable ships from a theater of operations for resources and can also assist a larger ship as a tug

Yeah, in the past I've made up some simple and easy to reproduce pieces paying more attention to how many you could make than to making them look the coolest thing in the fleet. It's good to have eight of the same ship design sometimes. If just to imagine your opponents worry when he faces them.

thats true, i kind of designed the RABID on the same basis of the strana van, a simple robust frame, with easily picked up parts, and easy weapons placement regardless of the type of weapon it is. obviously i could strip some of the guns and make it a longer range attack platform or multiple missiles, or space torpedoe slots
