Bionix are the bastard child of building blocks and action figures. Created for half brain-dead low-functioning autists who can't build anything with a part count higher than '2'.

In The Brikverse

In the Brikverse, Bionix live in relative peace, their low intelligence, great strength and inclination to attack anything that approaches them mean they are best avoided. When minifigs do come into contact with Bionix, they are generally enslaved to the minifigs, either as manual labour, or used as cheap disposable front line combat units. Smarter minifigs will even dismember Bionix, and turn their parts into actual mechs.
