Veto Powers are the greatest and most influential factions in the BrikVerse and play important roles in many of its events. More powerful than even normal Superpowers, Veto Powers are recognized as the leading nations of the Nehellium Galaxy. The Veto Powers consist of the five founding and permanent members of the Allied Nations Security Council- a single "no" vote from a Veto Power can strike down any proposed AN Security Council resolution. There is currently no way for a country to become a new veto power, although many advocates of ANSC reform (such as Scythia, Praetoria, and Trattoria) argue for such a procedure.

The Veto Powers are also sometimes collectively referred to as the "P5".
