History
The Dominion's history is littered with wars and strife, much like any civilization, but when they discovered the moon that orbited their homeworld Hobos was sentient the course of their advancement took a sudden turn. This moon, they learned, called itself Evana, and it came to be known as the Eagle of Omens and Dreams, for she spoke only to a select few as they slept. Evana's surface is littered with craters and the crude shape of an eagle can be seen even from the surface of Hobos. Soon all of Hobos was united under Evana's influence and they restyled their world as the Dominion of the Eagle in her honor.
Evana directed her people to the stars and they took to spacefaring with much enthusiasm. Soon the entire system belonged to them.
As they pushed further into the void, their fleets contacted a force beyond their strength. The massive Skion fleets met them in space and, with few options, the Dominion quickly sued for peace before anything could get out of their control. Blood was spared, surprisingly, by the predominant color of the Dominion's military, for Skion has a fondness for the many hues of blue.
Evana had little choice but to bless this union, and so the Dominion now accompanies Skion and the rest of the Azure Compact to war.
