Sweet action! This got a lot better reception than I thought. Alex, this is pretty much Empire Tota War. Now pick a group.

Please give me a few days to set everything up. I'm in the middle of moving and have to get my stuff reorganized.

Secret faction people, expect to be happy.

Only one group left, Istvan Kossuth.

Begin submitting your orders. When you PM me, please put the name of your character in the subject field and what turn it is. For example:

Prinz Ludwig Turn 1
Klaus Von Mecklenburg Turn 1

That will make it much easier for me to remember who's who and make this go faster. We have a great turn out and secret faction people better be excited.

Hi, are you excepting newbies? If so I'd like to try with Istvan Kossuth. This would be my first Forum Battle.

Welcome Kalvinator. Just PM me if you have any questions. My forum battles run a bit differently, but you should be able to pick it up in no time.

We're ready to begin. I need orders from everyone on the field so we can get started.

Also, I forgot to mention this: ALL OFFICERS HAVE A PISTOL AND SABER. They can use a soldiers musket if they like.

When soldiers shoot, it will take a full turn for them to reload. The muskets have bayonets on them, but since they look weird in LDD, I'm not going to animate them.

Good luck gentlemen (gentlewomen if some of you are not blessed with the Y chromosome). You'll understand if I don't wish any of you luck during this endeavor.

I don't know if the msg board PM's are just not working for me or what, but I don't see the last five PMs i've sent showing up in my outbox, so just in case, im just gonna post my orders here.

Prinz Ludwig: Artillery, fire on the opposing artillery unless out of range, in which case, hold fire until any target is in range, then open up on them. For Ludwig himself and his cadre, hold position...

And that goes for the rest of you in the Austrian line, hold position for turn 1 and let the prussians advance... wait for secret factions to arrive, we are defending afterall.

My messages are still working all right, if anyone else is having this problem just PM me. ha ha ha

Messages only stay in your Outbox until the recipient reads them, and then they move to your Sent Messages box. That gives you the chance to delete or edit Outbox stuff if you change your mind before delivery.

Bad news everybody. Due to the hugeness of the file (I didn't think it was even that big) my computer crashes every I try to open 1756. I can send someone the file, if they want to pick it up, but I will not be able to do it from my end. Also, my internship at Saint Cloud Media is getting pretty busy, which means less time for Brikwars. C'est la vie...

@Semaj: I know that feel bro. That's why I stick to micro space in LDD. Even then, when super dreadnoughts get involved things go down the shitter pretty quickly.

Hrm! Epic level battles seem to be a universal constant- they've got a bloody large amount of minifigures to keep track of and are prone to crashing terribly. I may have to try my hand at rectifying this issue, let's see how LDD acts on this computer.
