Announcer: Gaaah! And with that, welcome to the prelimary opener for Death Bowl! A simple test of Red versus Blue. Gravity is off and minimal Obstacles are in play. It's a duel to the death!

Red is outfitted with a naginata and a grenade.

Blue is outfitted with a pistol and bayonette, as well as a grenade.

Turn One

Blue jetpacks forward and fires a beam at Red. The shot is out of range but barely misses, singeing the wall above Red's shoulder.

Red flies off toward the nearest Obstacle, hoping to gain some cover while he closes the distance to his foe.

Turn Two

Blue takes a walk on the wild side, gliding gracefully up and landing on the nearest Hover Brik. Unfortunately, the brik is not anchored and it begins to spin lazily, throwing his aim off. Had he hit it harder, he would have been taking a ride.

Red continues with his previous tactic, gliding smoothly behind cover. The crowd boos this cowardly maneuver. Apparently, Red is a Heel.

Overview

Turn Three

Blue uses his thrusters to control his spin, gliding away from the spinning hover block. He waits until he is just out of sight and lofts the grenade toward his opponent's most likely place of egress. The throw is slightly out of range, even in zero-g, but he easily manages it.

Red, suspecting nothing, flies directly into the explosion. His armor and weapon are torn away from him but he survives the blast.

Until the first explosion triggers his own grenade, resulting in a secondary explosion that rips him in half.
