General Croses - Ross_Varn
Croses points out Zahru with his sword. "You must be the famous Slayer. You have the deaths of many of my men on your conscience. Do the faces of your countless victims ever haunt you in your dreams, 'Slayer'?"
Zahru: "Funny thing about killing people. The more of 'em you slay, the harder it becomes to even remember their faces."
Annoying Ghost: "What about me, Zahru? You remember me?"
"Great."
The Deathseekers, true to their name, charge the Blazer head on. They are mostly recruited from conquered 'barbarian' tribes and therefore a little more fierce in battle than regular Falx.
Screened by the giant, Croses and the swordsmen advance, making way for the charging lancers.
Marshal - Battlegrinder
The ballistae combine fire on Princess Lorreaine. She manages a deft block, but nevertheless takes 2 HP worth of damage.
The halberdiers march out to confront the Hitokiri threat head on. The spearmen reposition and prepare.
Crossbowmen advance. Those that are in range shoot at Lorraine, but she parries enough of the damage to survive.
Finally the Marshal rides down the battlements.
Zahru - Zahru II
The ghost starts irritating Zahru as he knocks back an arrow and aims at the lancers...
Annoying Ghost: "You can't do it! You can't do it!"
Zahru: "It's a shame I can't kill you twice."
Despite the negative modifiers Zahru manages to hit both his targets and achieve first blood, though only one shot is powerful enough to kill. The impact sends the lancer flying from his horse.
Hitokiri - lawmaster
The flintlock Ashigaru deploy, intent on softening up the enemy.
The results are devastating: two spearmen and their officer all crash down.
The healer patches Lorreaine back up to 2 HP.
The rest of the Hitokiri charge, cavalry leading the way.
The spearmen counter-charge as they see the cavalry come into range.
Lorreaine deftly spears her adversary against the bastion's wall, but the elites get their steeds killed before they can strike out, thus negating their charge bonus.
When they crawl up from the ground they exact revenge though.
Xalen isn't the only one who gets angry if you kill his horse.
The halberdiers attempt to avenge their comrade, but fail.
The crossbowmen that were on standby finally put the elite down.
The flamer proceeds to burn the halberdiers, but falls short of killing them.
As the Hitokiri on the left flank charge, the firebombers throw bombs ahead of them to make the Falx's advance more difficult.
Archers put down a Deathseeker.
The horse archers charge towards the lancers and at the last second turn their horses and fire, but they can't put any of their enemies down.
Trogdor's burnination falls short in both accuracy as damage.
The poor bastard that was already on fire gets skewered by one of the Blazer's axes as it advances.
Whereupon the Blazer also blasts a guy on the battlements, damaging a ballista as well. The remaining guy can still fire the ballista, but it'll be more difficult alone.
