Yeah, normally we get a lot more Feat failures. But be patient, the game's only just begun.

Zupponn and I couldn't come up with anything specific for his research direction, so I polled some fourth graders about what kinds of things they thought he would discover. We were super disappointed that he didn't get the fail result and get stuck with a pink rod that shot cotton candy infinitely and couldn't be turned off. But he double-critted the research roll, so we were forced to accept his unfortunate success.
