One thing the empire has been missing in its rank is a carrier design, the main reason for this being that every Scythian vessel larger than the Savager class frigate is capable of launching a small number of Katana class fighters from their shuttle bays, and most Scythian world are protected by multiple starb ases, orbital hangar emplacements and weapon emplacements - but there was never any real need to transport large numbers of fighters into the field.
The Immortal war has ended that naivety, the Empress class is the only ship in the fleet that fills a huge hole in our battlefield strategies, as the Immortals launch hundreds of suicidal waves at our ships to either destroy them or cause as much damage as possible. With the addition of the Overlord class to our ranks, the Gladiator has been put forward as a new combat addition to our fleets to bring much needed air power to our forces.
As can be seen, its massive lower deck is capable of launching and landing entire squadrons from its berth, it has more than ample sensory equipment to evaluate the battlefield and issue commands on the fly to its pilots, and a collection of point defense lasers to ward off any enemy ships that stray too close.

I am sneaking in only to announce my new purchases on order - and then disappear again.
I have another 20 Scythian Marines on order - with base plates for the total eight squads of five, and an MK-I Scythian Tarantula walking tank (the smaller one).
I have also ordered the remaining parts I need for the Scythian Hover/Super Tank - which has brought the order to £71 of new lego.
With this announcement - pictures *May* follow - but don't expect me to be actively participating in brickwars again until the Astarte holidays.

UNNECESSARY BACK STORY ABOUT THIS NEW POST.
This order was placed through Lego on the 19th of January - costing a grand £75 of our fine British sterling. Scythe waited patiently for word of his order to be placed, an eventually got a confirmation email on the 27th of January - a grueling 9 days after I had placed the initial pick a brick order.
From then - it was handed onto DHL, scourge of European delivery companies - which refused to admit that me order has even been given to them until the 31st of January, and then it sat in the back end of a delivery van in Liepzig until the 2nd of February.
Just as Scythe was reaching the edge of his temper - the order arrived today at 3pm - after skull fucking the courier (because IT WAS ABOUT GODDAMN FUCKING TIME YOU LAZY ARSE DELIVERY BOY! ) Scythe sat down and constructed his second grand Scythian Empire order . . . the following pictures may contain so much fucking awesome that your heads may IMPLODE through sheer fucking win - and as such, I shall take precautions by performing anal violation on all your mothers before hand.

THE SCYTHIAN EMPIRE - GROUND FORCES AS OF GR-2011
The 192nd Scythian Mechanized Infantry - consisting of 40 Scythian Marines (In 8 groups of 5) with -
- One "Titanus" Class Anti-Vehicle Battle Mecha.
- One "Black Widow" Class Infantry Fighting Vehicle
- One "Tarantula MK-I" Main Battle Tank
Along with the Hero unit "Harkins" complete with his SIBAS battle suit.
A close up of the Tarantula MK-1. Its legs turned out to be surprisingly sturdy upon delivery - however I was disappointed to find I was missing two 3x1 flat plates that would have finished off the front leg armour. I do have spares, but I'm unable to get to them right now due to the sound of the Lego being used disturbing my daughter (who is a year old now and suffering from a serious cold - such is life).
In battle - the Tarantula has proven itself to be a strong, reliable, mass produced MBT that is more than capable of taking down any threats thrown at it with its main Laser cannon, secondary Laser blaster and two Anti-Matter homing missiles.
The Titanus Battle Mecha - designed to be a walking tower of Death - it is more than capable of ripping apart Immortal tanks with ease with its two Anti-Vehicle lasers and ECM/ECCM systems.
The Black Widow IFV - Armed with its multi-role turret system consisting of a canister missile launcher and low-bore Laser cannon, and a secondary belly mounted Laser Gatling cannon - is more than capable of taking down light targets and providing multi-role support for units in the field.
All 40 of my Scythian Marines - this time with base plates (and from this angle you cannot see) but 5 different types of minifig head (because in my last order I stupidly ordered 20 of the same head, effectively making them clones of one another) - now there is more than enough variation between the Marines to make them slightly diverse from one another, and therefore awesome.
They are all armed with Scythian Carbine Laser Rifles - a tried and tested design that has been in use for over a century and shows no sign of changing - it is simple to use, clean and maintain - with single fire, burst fire and full auto fire settings, and almost unlimited ammunition in the field due to each Marine being equipped with a field size anti-matter generator. They are all well trained and battle hardened against the Immortal threats faced so far - the fires of war are coming, and their true test is about to begin.

In light of the recent addition to the Assyrian armoured divisions - the Galaxy has shunted into a full blown production line for a new breed of vehicle - the "SuperTank" - and while the Scythian Empire has a counter in the form of the Behemoth, they are currently far to few, and far to expensive a resource to waste on anything but the most hardened of threats - but we still need to put something into the field capable of taking down the new hostile Supertanks that are appearing in the field.
While this new model is a prototype unit only, and is even unfinished in this state - I would like to present to you - the "Orpheus" class Scythian Super/Hover Tank.
This beast will be capable of hovering over the battlefield - and is currently capable of passing directly over a Tarantula MK-I at 80 kph without any problem what so ever. It's front Armour is super hardened against incoming fire - and is shaped into a battering ram in this current configuration.
It is also designed to carry troops into the field within its armored hide. At this moment in time the side door is the thinnest section of its hull - this issue will soon be rectified to give the Orpheus an even layer of super hardened titanium battle Armour across its entire hull.
At this current moment in time - the turret being used is a stand in for design purposes - once the Orpheus is completed - it will be approximately twice this size - and its main guns will be the equivalent of a Battleship scale SHIP's main cannons. Other weapons noted for use are two roof mounted Laser Gatling Cannons, four Belly mounted Laser Gatling Cannons, an Anti-Matter Multi-Missile system and a possible Anti-Aircraft Turret (With Two Laser Cannons) mounted atop the primary turret.
At this current moment in time however, the Orpheus cannot be completed due to budgetary constraints (And a lack of time/parts IRL) and is currently slated for further research and development for the near future.
