Today is an important day for the M-Throne Empire because the number of standard troopers surpassed 1000. There are 1027 standard troopers right now.
And total number of M-Throne related minifigures is 1470 including specialists, officers, pilots and heroes.

This is just insane. I really hope to have an army this big some day. Luckily I can get a good start since my fig of choice is in a troop pack right now. Do you snatch up all mtron figures offnof bricklink as soon as they appear?

I buy them from BL and ebay. I usually buy the body pieces and accessories necessary and assembly them later. Sometimes I buy complete minifigures and change the visors to dark transparent.

Collecting a army like mine may not be a very good idea. With that money you can buy many other bricks, figure parts, and accessories to reate very unique armies. Figures from battlepacks are cheaper if you wait in long term but thats true for everybody and you end up with an army of figures that everybody has.

You may know that I also have other armies. Space Marine Army, Medieval Army, Roman army, Werewolf army, Classic Space Army, some of which consists figures from minifigure series which everybody has.

My advice would be that you better not try to build something very big, try to build an unique army. (Honestly size makes it cooler tough)

I am defiantly doing something to make them unique. And I may not get quite as big as yours but I plan on having a large group of soldiers for my main faction.

I also understand the idea of making my army unique which is why I am not just recycling the figures from the battle pack rather I am using them as a base then customizing them to make my army.

Some of my characters have more than one minifig with different outfits (but ofcourse same heads and hair etc).
Should I include all the figures with different outfits or should I put only one figure for each character to the overview? What do you think?

The number of standard soldiers reached 1105.

At least we can take comfort in that once he collects every M-tron figure in the entire world, his army will be forced to stop expanding.
