So, the dwarves, and their fortress (more like a keep, and it isn't done yet, so stop pestering me. Ideally, I'd like to have one more large tower in the middle, it looks kind of empty right now. Anyway, here's a bunch of pictures.

Army shots: Overall

First, we have the guardsmen. They are adept at controlling the space around them, and are notorious for their three day hold against the trolls and their furbeast allies outside the gates of the Great City, without reinforcements.

Next, we have our regular fighters. They carry heavy battleaxes, and small shields to deflect incoming attacks.

Their officer, a battle-hardened veteran. He has a slightly stronger and longer axe, and will eventually have some defining feature (once I get something fitting).

Now, we have the berserkers. They have huge double handed two-bladed heavy axes, built for one purpose. These dwarves prefer killing to self-preservation, and as a result, most don't die of old age

Currently, the dwarves are working on new weapons called 'Thundersticks' using a complex mix of natural ores. Unfortunately, funding has been somewhat cut form this project to strengthen borders before the undead hordes reach the gates to the Great City (so no pics)
instead, we get to see the fearless leader of this keep, Thorin Foehammer

So, on to the bad guys. After moving a bunch of stuff form my basement, I found a lot of Legos I believed to be lost in our move. So, without further ado, I present the living portion of the Scorpion Horde!

So, we have the officer on the left, the troops in the background, and, of course, we have the necromancer, (input name here, suggestions open

Next, we have my other recent acquisitions. These guys so far do not have any place in my world, so if any of you have any suggestions as to where they should be, feel free to tell me. Right now, I'm thinking a barbarian type that just ranges around in the mountains, but any better ideas would be welcome.

So, finally, we have arrived at our last point of interest. My sig-fig for the medieval time period. As yet unnamed (I'm terrible at naming stuff, which is why I end up ripping off games and books I like). He is an exiled fire mage form the time of the first uprising, against the Scorpion legions of old. Finding the secret to eternal life, he secluded himself in the caves, and have helped the dwarves on several occasions. He has returned to the side of the Empire to destroy the forbidden magic: necromancy.

An accomplished rider, marksman, and swordsman as well as mage, he is an incredibly versatile character on the battlefield. Flame on!

Did I mention he also has power over the holy light? Very useful against undead.

lol j/k
