Re: BrikQuest CYOA

After giving it much thought, you decide to pick the hammer! However you also politely inquire about the weird gizmo.
"Oh that's a funny piece! I don't know what I'll use it for yet... Listen, I am working on something seeecret - if you can help me find something I could use as a key in Scrap City, I'll trade that for this, okay? Let's get going!"

A short trip later you arrive at the gates of Scrap City. The naming couldn't be any more accurate, looks like the place has been hastily cobbled together by scrounged bits and pieces.

Based on your previous exploits, you can't help but ask how hasn't the place been overrun yet by local wildlife.

"Oh, it's the thingy at the top of the gate!"
Upon closer inspection you see that it's a forcefield generator! It's worn but still functional. Must've been set up by the first spacemen who arrived on this frontier world.

After parking Ooka's vehicle, you enter Scrap City. Calling it a city is a little generous for a small sized spaceport, however it's better than nothing!

Furthermore, there's quite a lot of sights and spots to check out!
Spaceman, you've finally reached proper civilization! What will you do first?
1. Talk to the Planetcracker vendor (top left corner)
2. Enter the Inn
3. Check out the spaceport (top right corner)
4. Talk to the junk merchant (bottom right corner)
5. Talk to the unitron bum (bottom left corner)

Re: BrikQuest CYOA
Try to steal a keythingy from the merchant to give to the monkey to get the gizmo to ask a spaceman at the spaceport what it does.
Else, assault someone with the hammer to get arrested to talk to the plaetcracker to find out where we are.
Else, rock out for a few turns with the hammer and bins as a drumkit to gain attention to talk to a spaceman to get hired into a path of destruction and chaos.
Else, go into the inn dragging your monkeyfriend by the leg then sell her to a ransom broker for money and spend it all on grog, then, in a fit of dunken delirium, suddenly remember everthing and rush (or stagger) out of the inn on your newly remembered mission.
Any other ideas?

Talk to the bum and see if he has any useful gossip to use as leverage to take over the spaceport

Re: BrikQuest CYOA

For the time being you part ways with Ooka, each minding their own business. You decide to visit the solemn looking spacefarer sitting alone in the corner. "Go away! Unless you got credits to spare, I need not of yo- Oh!" He notices the insignia on your suit. "You bear the sigil of my forefathers, stranger - it is a bold thing to do these days in the sector. Pardon my manners, it's just you expect everyone to be hostile towards ya nowadays when you fall from the top. So you're new here? I could tell ya a thing or two. This planet was one of the many futuron frontier worlds. My ancestors tried to set foot on this lush planet, but conflicts with the natives made that nigh impossible. Eventually they just gave up and left. sphincter and criminal factions, along with the locals cobbled together whatever they could from the leftovers and created small shanty-settlements like this one."

"Scrap City is a popular refueling spot - that planetcracker miner over there decided to retire on this mudball. He makes a living by digging up the few methazine caches on the planet and selling it to travelers. The crystals are a valued commodity for their high energy output, which makes them an efficient source of fuel. Over there's Rufus' bazaar. The furfig scavenges wreckages and trades with all sorts of odds and ends. He's a weirdo - he only accepts barter, but I'd say deep down he's just a fool with a heart of gold. You can also check out the bar - although be careful, lots of dangerous folk linger there."
You thank the unitron for the information. You can't help but feel pity for the poor guy.
Spaceman, with newly-gained knowledge in hand, where shall you go next?
1. The Planetcracker
2. Rufus' Bazaar
3. The Bar
Re: BrikQuest CYOA
Let's see, what Rufus might have to offer. Might check the Planetcracker, afterwards.
